Ask yourself this:

How many Harleys are on the road?

How many S/C'ed Marauders are on the road?

There about about 100 (maybe a few more) supercharged Marauders in the nation....and how many Harleys?

Go for the supercharger :D

I'm not a 'bike' guy...BUY THE SUPERCHARGER!!
And as previously mentioned, with all the senile blue hairs running over people in Florida you'd be crazy to buy a Harley!

For the price of a Harley, you can buy a Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic, AND a supercharger. For the cash required to get a new Fat Boy, John and I got a PAIR of new V-Star 1100 Classic special editions.

I think maybe the hardest part will be the choice of whose S/C kit your going to go with. If you went procharger, then you might have some left over for the bike fund. But thats for another thread.

:) Supercharger by all means! Going fast with 4 doors and metal all the way around you is the only way to travel. When you are in your MM going real fast, more people will look at you than if you are on a Harley.

Neither, donate the money to a guy who had a turbo Impala and wants an SC'd Marauder REAL BAD :P

Besides, I'm from Milwaukee, and Harley's are over rated expensive money pits :)

I think that's a pretty good choice........just be careful that you don't do this to your tires like I did to mine.

I just got a call today.....wait until you see what the latest Procharger Dyno numbers are! I don't think I can count that high........

As long as you also pay close attention to the area under the curve of the torque and HP graph lines, and don't overlook where your power starts at, and what it is at 3,000 RPM's, 3,500 RPM's, and 4500 RPM's respectively. What I'm saying is that PEAK HP doesn't tell the whole story, nor is it always a clear indication of how the car will accelerate down the track or on the street. You want to pay close attention to what kind of mid-range punch the Dyno graph shows as well as low-end and high. It's all relevent. Not just the peak #'s

Unless you plan on running a 4,500 RPM stall speed. In that case, then you don't have to pay attention to anything as much as you would be to the peak power numbers in the high RPM's, but you cannot run a 4,500 RPM stall on the street w/out losing a lot of driveabilty, and w/out heating up the transmission a lot more than you would've otherwise.

Looks like a ramp up to another which s/c is better debate!!!

KING FUBAR - Make sure you check out the s/c for dummies thread (no offense), if you haven't already

:soapbox:

I know which one I'm going with not to sound rude and like an as*hole but it isn't important to post which one I'm going to go with. Basically this thread wasn't meant to start another S/C "whinefest", it was just a basic "help me make up my mind" of bike or S/C. Alot of people who drive vehicles like these, Lightnings, SS's and misc. muscle cars also ride bikes and I wanted their opinion.
