New Marauder Owner: Questions

Little story first: So last night I picked up my '03 Marauded w/ 34,00mi ($18,xxx) :rolleyes: its perfect. I took it for a test drive a few days ago, and the drive home so memorable. I sold my work commute car (roaring '95 nissan sentra w/ 1.4L 104hp 4cyl.) and put my '97 stang gt in storage, might sell it to help with payments.

Anyways, my stang was my little tuner car. I'd like to do the same for this. I had SLP loudmouth catback exhaust on the stang and it sounded good but got annoying, but now, what for this car? Does anyone have any audio/video of Flowmaster or Magnaflow exhaust? I'd really like to hear what it sounds like before I install it.

For those in the Motor City Marauders, what do you have installed? Where did you purchase/have it installed? Or did you do it yourself? I live in livingston county :cool:

Someone posted a link to a site that had lots of audios on the various exhaust/muffler combos. However, most were on Mustangs as I recall. :D

Check the member gallery for videos. "Merc" has some very good ones from the Eastern Regional meet at Hershey, PA especially the crew leaving the hotel enmasse ... :2thumbs: Oops, those vids are no longer in the gallery ... must have been deleted to free up some space. Too bad -- they were awesome !!! :(

As for the MCM website, I checked it out, and wow theres some nice events and pics on there :cool4::cool:
As for the dates, I wont have a day off work until, well, lets see, next october :alone: Somethings gotta pay for this beautiful car, and I just went alone on my insurance - its about 5x more then my old Sentra :mad: but I still love it ;)

Heya AJ....

With you here I am no longer the newbie ! :D

My recommendation.... (it sounds like you are near Motor City). Don't buy ANY exhaust until you go to a Motor City Marauder meet. No video clip etc. is going to give you the true feel for the exhaust. You need to be there in person, ride in the car, etc. Only way IMHO to know what they sound like to YOU and what YOU like.

Besides, from what I have seen here... in that club you have a full range of other mods to look at ... from mild to wild. It will be like going to the candy store ! :bows:

Welcome to the site AJ. First off I would like to say if you have off this Saturday come to our meeting at Trilogy in Dearborn. It is located on Michigan Ave just west of Greenfield. It will start at 12:00pm. To answer your question I had Flowmaster 40's on my old blk MM and right now I am running stock on my new one. I haven't decided if I want to do a new exhaust on this yet. I will say that if you want to do mods go see Lidio at Alternative Performance and get his chip and 410 package. It will change your car dramatically. Anyway, I hope to meet you soon at one of our events.
