Not like I expect people here to get excited over a Japanese car, but here are some pics of the new ride.

I've already ripped most of the badges off and will get the windows tinted sometime in the near future. Not planning much else in terms of mods cause they seem way too expensive for what I consider small power and handling gains. Well, that and if a new RWD Impala SS comes out or if the rumor of the Marauder returning in 2007 is true, I'm gonna need cash for one of those. :cool4:

That cars pretty awesome. My father had one when they first came out - very nice driving car. The triptronic shifting was a nice thing to have if you didn't necessarily like manuals.

Very nice choice - very reliable :)

I like it. Too small for me, tho'. I wish I were small enough to be comfortable in a small car. They're fun.

Nice little package. Not a MM but it is unique. Got any photos of the gauge cluster? Cruise safely.

It's a nice car. Definitely will improve the looks with tinting. Wheels arent shiny enough for me. Don't reckon you could put some Marauder rims on there, could ya? :D
Heck, would be fun to shoehorn a V-8 under the hood.:burn:

I had to look at all the posts to discover that it's a Lexus since I can't tell 'em apart. I hear they're good cars, and wish you luck with it.

Correct me if my old eyes are deceiving me, but did it come with that ricer fart can, or did you add it yourself? ;)

ON "Rides" they actually DID put a V8 from the GS300 into that car - not the hatchback one. It was very wicked! :)

The GS300 came with a inline six. The GS400 and GS430 were the V8 models.

Ah I knew this would be handled well :)

Anyhow, as I was researching this car I stumbled upon some interesting info regarding Toyota Motor Cars. In post war 1950 Eiji Toyoda (yes the spelling is correct) was invited to the United States to learn about vehicle design and manufacturing. I think he spent several months over here learning the ins and outs of the car biz. Y'all will never guess who hosted Eiji during his time over here...give up? Well it was none other than Ford Motor Company. Thought that was interesting given the instructor has now been passed by the student in sales.

Actually, Toyoda came to the Dearborn Michigan Ford Rouge Facility (where I am employed, LOCAL 600) and saw how everything was made on site. Ford made his own glass, steel and all components of the car except the tires. Of course family member Firestone took care of that. Toyoda went back and fashioned his manufactoring facility like the Rouge as well as GM making Buick City in Flint Michiagn.

Good info. Makes me wonder why the two companies aren't that close given how far they go back.

There is a company in Canada that has done just that. They call it the IS430, and from what I understand, it is quite a handfull. They have done quite well with it in the races they have run.

Hey! Saw your new baby at our monthly Southern Marauder's Bkfast. I Like It! It's a great handling, reliable and versatile machine. Hope to see you soon, though, in another MM!!!
