Hello to all the marauder and panther owners out there. im a new member of this site. ive been a member of crownvic.net for some time now. this week, my dad will be trading the Grand marquis in for a new marauder or Crown vic sport, hopfully getting a marauder. the marauder is 19K and has about 25K miles on it. its black and very clean. this is a neat and cool site. btw, im 16 years old and love working on cars. in my family are a 94 p71 thats my moms, a 99 grand marquis thats my dads, and a 82 lincoln mark vi that is stored and is going to be mine when i get my license in a few months. im hoping to enjoy this site for as long as im a panther owner, which will be forever. also, on crownvic.net, we will be having a meet in St. Louis in the beginning of august. i will post details 2moro. we will be driving up to Joilet, Ill at Chicagoland motor speedway, hopfully. there is a mustang thing going on there too. so why not come with us and show those mustangs whos the boss of Fords?? lol

Welcome Mark,

Lots of good tech info on Marauders, and activities associated with this band of brothers. I hope your Dad chooses the Marauder, a fun car to own and drive.
Enjoy

:welcome: Welcome, Mark & your dad. I went through the same process with the CV Sport/MM decision, and the Marauder won out, HANDS DOWN. There is no comparison between the two in SAFETY, PERFORMANCE, COMFORT, VALUE, RIDE, you name it, not to mention the very large COOL factor. Tell your dad if he passes on the Marauder, he's a dope. ;)

 JASON?! Um, take your hockey mask, and chain saw along .....he'll do anything you want! :D

Here's some things to think about.

Fuel economy about the same,
Way cool factor, huge advantage, Marauder.
Downside? The Marauder uses premium fuel, and his insurance rate will go up ~ $40 - $70 per year.
Um, did I mention how cool it is to own/drive a Marauder? :)

I drove both the CV LX Sport and the Marauder. Guess which one I picked -- no comparison in my opinion. :D Tell your Dad to go for the gusto !!!

Date: August 1st and 2nd
Time: 12 Noon local time
Meeting Place: St. Louis Arch

http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/megaphone.gifEveryone welcome!!!

I figured that we could all meet at the St. Louis Arch, (East meets West). http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer1.gif I would like to see as many people as possible attend. After the meet there will be a 300 mile cruise to Chicago/Lake Michigan. http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banana.gif

Here is what we could do for day one (Aug 1):

Meet eachother in person
Tour the area
Get pics of everyone arriving
-there will be more added as the time goes by

Day 2 (Aug 2):
Cruise from St. Louis to Chicago on Interstate 55
Get some group pics near Lake Michigan
-there will be more added as the time goes by

-------

This is the first time I have ever been to St. Louis, so if there is more to do, by all means, let me know http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif. I want to make this a success http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/joy.gif http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banana.gif. I would also like to get our counterparts over at mercurymarauder.net to attend if possible. http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Ford%20Flag.GIF http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Mercury%20Flag.GIF http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lincoln.gif

the NMRA race/show is going on all weekend (July 29-31) at Chicago (Joliet)?
For the people who enjoy drag racing their cars or watching Fords race in general, it is a ball. The event is focused on Mustangs, but all year Fords and Mercurys race.
There is usually a big swap meet, and a pile of new speed parts vendors.

well the car dealership that we are going to trade it into is a mercury one, so odds are its going to be a marauder. btw, is anyone going to be interested in the meet???
