Did anybody see the New Mustang Convertible ad during the Superbowl. I liked it, funny.

Ya it was good. Ford used a '92 Vic for the cop

I didn't notice that, funny though I finally got rid of my 92 CVPI just a couple of months ago. The jail now uses it to run inmates back and forth to the hospital. The mileage stopped at 178K probaly was more like 278K.

When the commercial aired the first time, I was out of the room. I heard my wife laughing uncontrollably from the other end of the house. She actually does that in her little red 1993 Lebaron V6 convertible. She would have popsicled already if we didn't live in Florida. When the sun is out, the top is down, doesn't matter how chilly.

I think Ford could have slammed dunked thier add time if they would have made their spots a 4 part mini series,how about this.

Spot one goes as played but adds the cop,snickering and reaching in and putting the top up and heat too high,then fade out as cop heads back to car shaking head.

Spot 2 is a short 15 sec, cop pulling up to same intersection,convertable gone, as a new GT coupe cruises by,yea I know it's snowing but stay with me.

Spot 3 babe,of course,tearing up some PCH in CA. hair in the wind screaming yellow GT Convertable,heading north.

Spot 4 you guesed it,Cop pulls up behind GT Convert,frozened solid blonde at the wheel......

I thought the general concept of the commercial was keen, but didn' think they pulled it off very well. And when compared to the other mustang commercial, for the GT in the fields of corn with what's-his-name, well the new one in the desert of snow just didn't pop for me.

If they did another variation or continuation of the corn field one, then that would've been awesome. But please, an old bored cop on some desert highway flicks a dead cold guy on the cheek because he was too stupid to put the top up? Paa leeease. :bs:

Of course, they can't appeal to everyone. And as I can see, many people liked it. O well, just my $.02 ;)

Yeah, that was one of my favorites. But, I thought the cat, knife and the spaghetti sauce took top honors. I was laughing so hard, I missed what they were advertizing. :rofl:

I was laughing at the cat/sauce commercial hard enough I missed the cat mewling. (as it was being held up at the end) That made it even funnier.
