Not mine but made me think I should etch the VIN# onto the inside of them. Also I got the feeling from other posts that the MM was suppose to come with locking lug nuts but I never got any with my 04.Thanks for looking out for us all though:beer:

This guy appears to sell nothing but rims. They could be stolen from a wide range of vehicles. I wish wheels had VIN numbers etched on the inside surface somewhere so that the police could run them on their computer!

There have been a number of M/M that have had the wheels replaced with bling-bling style wheel/tire combos.
Also Ford sends out test vehicles to a tear down company (can't sell test vehicles as a whole-emission/crash concerns) that parts out everything.
Maybe thats the reason.

On the other hand, they could be a completely reputable business that is good to deal with (and isn't constantly angry at corporate America {zing!!!!}). I bought a set of wheels from them. They were fairly priced, took credit cards, shipped faster than promised and the delivery fees were also fair. I personally have sent at least 6 people to them (as many as 4 last week alone!) and they may have located more wheels in response to the increase in demand that they are seeing from the folks I sent their way.
California... Go Figure! Picture an army of potheads out sitting in corners after dark having paranoid delusions!

Have also bought from them on three occasions; on one of them a center cap was missing - sent them an Email, recieved an apology in a reply and the cap was overnighted (no excuses, no questions, no hemming/hawing).
From my experiences, they are customer oriented, very responsive, and their delivery is fast.

Don't think locking lug nuts were an option, although you get them from an L&M dealer or a FLAPS. Next time my wheels are off I plan on engraving mine. You can pickup cheap engravers at Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Lowes, Northern Tools, etc. Cheap insurance.
(Disclaimer: I have no intertest financial or otherwise in the afore mentioned companies)

David,
I live in New York...
I grew up in The Bronx...
For a lot of us, this was a nightly occurrance with the occasional disappearance of a vehicle or two or three.

I think that David's point here was that JRE must be part of a criminal ring because they are part of Corporate America. Please don't confuse him any more than he already is.
Thanks.

The Locking Lugs that you get from FORD are McGuard Lock Lugs.
I don't have anything against McGuard, but I prefere Gorilla.
You have a complete set of lugs, and a matching socket to go with them.
They are SOLID, Polished, and look pretty ...
And best of all they have them in every configuration conceivable.

I followed up on your suggestion that I contact JRE Tire about buying a set of the Marauder wheels and BFG tires for our 04 Crown Vic. I ordered the set last Thursday afternoon and when we got home Saturday from an early evening Valentine's dinner, there they were lying by my garage door! They arrived shrink-wrapped and by the time I got through giving them a couple of coats of metal polish, they looked as new as the set on our 2004 Marauder (with 2000 miles). I was a little uneasy about what condition the tires would be in, but to my complete surprise, the tires have at least 90% treadwear remaining. My son and I mounted them on the CV Sunday afternoon and they are smooth as silk-perfectly balanced. For $1099 plus $180 S & H, I feel like I got a great deal.

Don't use METAL POLISH !!
The Wheels are Clear Coated !!
All you need is a good wheel cleaner that you spray on, rub a little and wash off.
Then apply a little carnuba wax, and that's all you should need.
Metal Polish will harm the Clear Coat and it will end up cracking and peeling off.

Not to worry. I actually used Zaino Brothers polish on them. For some reason, "metal polish" popped in my head when I was typing my reply to the thread. Been detailing not just ours but other people's cars for the past 15 years, something I've always enjoyed doing;) . So far, no screw-ups on my part.
Sorry for the confusion.

Got one from them, May of last year, (wanted a full size spare w/rear tire), they were selling sets of four back then, I e-mailed them (by-passed ebay) and they made me a deal I couldn't refuse. Just another satisfied customer of JRE Tires.:D

Speaking of locking lugs....Is that something the '03's got and '04's didn't...or is that part of the "PRE-DECONTENTING?"

My '04 has locking lugs. They took away: remote gas lock, seat pockets, full size spare tire, clock, long overhead console, and gave us in return, something we all lust after, ...Traction control.

Locking lug nuts were not standard equipment. They were probably put on by the dealer to prevent theft.

That makes sense. The poor thing languished on the lot from December '03 until I rescued it in August, and there's no way those wheels would have remained on it for that long, without locking lugs. Who knows? Perhaps the ones on it aren't the origonal wheels anyway.:dunno:

What the hell is Pre-Decontenting????

What the hell is Pre-Decontenting????
It's one of those ridiculous invented terms used to describe some action. Like: Growing the Company, or partnering, for instance. In this case L/M - FMC deleted a bunch of neat, no cost options from the '03, not on the '04 ie. long O/H console, remote fuel door, clock, full size spare, and other stuff. It's a way to reduce costs of production, and generally pi$$ of the customer base. See? They get to kill two birds with one stone, and insure failure of the product.

When we talked to Steve Babcock he mentoned that all of the panthers lost the underhood light in 2004. I think the amount he said was saved was $1.79 per car or something like that.
