ORLANDO, Fla. -- What was supposed to be a magical moment at Sunday night's Orlando Magic basketball game instead turned into an embarrassing memory for one man.
The unidentified man asked his girlfriend to marry him in front of thousands of fans at the Magic's 97-94 victory over the New Orleans Hornets at the TD Waterhouse Centre.
The man, who was standing on the court, dropped to a knee and asked the woman to marry him.
Instead of answering, the woman turned and ran off the court with her face in her hands.

Yep...that's why BillyG will remain single ^^^ :P ;) Women....she didn't even appreciate how he got her out on the court.
What I like from the write up is how they do a nice transition from what you posted to...
Meanwhile, Steve Francis scored 22 points and handed out 10 assists to lead the Orlando. Hedo Turkoglu also had 22 points in the win.
Dwight Howard contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Magic, who won for just the second time in six games. Pat Garrity added 12 points for Orlando and Grant Hill also had 11.

I would never proposeto a woman like that. Something tells me that men who do that are really suspecting that the lady in question will have mixed feelings about the proposal, and they figure that they can pressure them into saying "yes" by asking them in front of an audience. I respect that woman for saying "NO" instead of buckling under pressure. She did the right thing if she didn't want to marry him in the first place. That guy didn't play it very smart IMO.

I gotta agree with Embassy's Poor SOB label on this one. Geeze...what a way for the poor sap to make his television debut. Some matters should only be handled in private.

Oh, I disagree! It's Valentine's day. Just think about all the single women who will be saying "Oh, that's so sweet. I bet he's heartbroken."
I bet he's got more "sympathy love" than he knows what to do with right now!

Those are stunts set up by the PR departments of the teams. Heard about it on PTI when they did it in L.A.
