Wow ... that is sad. That '58 (?) Corvette is irreplaceable. :bigcry: This probably falls into the Justifiable Homicide category. Hope the hauler doofus is now riding shotgun on the greater Mesa Metropolitan trash hauler. :D

When I worked at Wayne L&M (Wayne, N.J.) in the late '70's, we had a new car fall off the top of the transporter. Seems the driver didn't think the drainage ditch he was half in was that steep.... Sorry no pictures..

Well that's the way a true redneck unloads a truck. For example, when moving, and using a pickup truck to haul one's belongings....upon reaching their destination, they merely back up really fast, slam on the brakes, and wa-lla, the truck is unloaded.

I really would like to know their name in case I ever have a car I need to sell and nobody will even call on the ad. Just ship it across town should do the trick.:banana2:
But NEVER try it with a MM or any other decent collectible. :hotrice:

I did some research on auto transporters a few months ago when I had my newly purchased 1969 Marauder shipped to me from Arkansas. Many of the companies booking transport are really brokers who put out listings on a central board where truck drivers contract to fullfill them. Sometimes you have no control over who actually ships your car. Stay with a reputable company who fullfills their own shipping orders! I have used DAS several times with no trouble.

Some how I think it's behind duct tape:mad:
Now I would not want to be the driver having to call dispatch and say sorry but one fell off the truck today?

Would you rather be the guy who calls the owner of the vette? Not me!

How many levels of pissed off are there? :mad2: That has to be at least a 10!

If this happened to any one of us, we would be taking pictures with our camera phones and forwarding them to Marty. Then we would cry to him saying "Look what they have done to my baby!!"
Just my .02 and then some...
