Anyone else have problems with there foglights taking in
water. The lights have about a 1/4 water in them and they are
all fogged up. Had to go back to dealer for squeek in rear-end
just did not know if they would replace them under warrentee or not?
Thanks,
-Mike

If you drive with your lights on, the condensation will burn off.
I drive with my lights on everywhere I go and I've never seen
any condensation at all...

I do the same thing, AND am too lazy to get down there and look for condensation.

So, ....that's why all General Motors cars have those stupid "driving" lights! The dopes don't know how to make waterproof light housings.

Yeah yeah yeah........ I know it's an old thread, atleast this prove's I did a search before starting a new thread lol, well anyway, my passenger side fog light is all fogged up with condensation, has anyone taken their's out and resealed it? I would rather do that than buy a new one, is it a PITA or is it a breeze, I've got some silverstar fog's to install so I figured I'd kill two bird's with one stone.

Thank's in advance, Sean:beer:

Why do you think they are called Fog Lights?

Well I had mine replaced under warranty back in 2005 :)

Other then that, if ya take an air gun for a compressor you could

blow the water right out as well.

The water is'nt actually pooling up like your's did, there's just condensation in it and it bug's the crap out of me, someone posted in a thread a while back that they took it out and resealed it but of course I can't find that thread now.

I have replaced quite a few under the 3yr 36,xxx warranty the seal on the foglights are bad it is a Ford problem but after the inital warranty they wont do anything about it this is a problem on alot of fomoco products. kinda like headlights getting foggy over time. Kinda sXXks.:( But there is a trick to fixing them to. Running a large dealer B.S. I see this quite a bit, just yesterday we replaced a 06 g/m rt foglight for same problem.

I'd remove the fog lights, take them apart (it's really easy) clean everything up then use some silicone grease on all the seals when reassembling. The hardest part is getting the lights out.

Just noticed last night that mine had water in it and didn't project light properly.

*Has anyone had good luck taking them apart to seal them or

*is there a good aftermarket replacement for them (fog lights)
