I got my copy early 2004. You won't find any data for your car. You need the database that is supplied by SCT dealers or SCT.

Any idea how I can get that?

If I'm not mistaken this is what you need to use that software:

1. SCT Xcalibrator with programs for your vehicle already installed.
2. SCT Xcalibrator USB or serial cable (to connect to your PC).
3. The Xtreme Personal Tuning software.

I believe this software allows you to customize the "tunes" already on the SCT Xcalibrator. I have all three mentioned above and wil be trying it tomorrow. Will let you know if / how it works. :D

I think it also works with the SCT 9100 using the 9100 serial cable.

I guess I'll find out soon.

I just ordered an Xcalibrator from Lidio. This would be awsome. :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Dennis posting about this in late December or early January? Thought I saw a post from him about this software becoming available to use........

Downloaded the software and installed it on my pc. Tried to run it on my 9100 SCT handheld tuner. Seems that it won't work with my ECC code. So, if someone gets this to work with BMDO on either the 9100 or the other tuners, let me know. :depress:

I run this on my xcalibrator, but to be honest, it confuses me and I am not sure if I would trust trying to run my car on a program that I modified with it.

The user interface is very non-intuitive. If you click on file, you would expect to see an open option, but there is none. You have to click on the small square at the end of the line for filenames to get a dialog going on where to upload the file from. You also need to have your tuning file turned into a .xtr filetype in order to proceed. I got my three tunes sent to me, so I keep them online and ready to modify if needed. The thing that freaked me out on the program was that after loading in my file for winter tires (with a smaller diameter/ rolling circumfurence) when I went to tire choice for calibrating the speedometer, it started off with the lowest size tire that the program knows of, not the size that my tune was set up for. Then I tried to play around with the torque converter lockup speeds and got waaaay lost in that table. I just ended up having my vendor make the change and send me an updated file. I had asked for a 63 mph lockup in 3rd or 4th, and that was just too high. It seemed as bad off as the factory tune allowing that lockup at around 30 mph. I had it adjusted to 45 mph in 3rd or 4th, with less than 50% throttle applied and it seems perfect.

As far as I know, there was no help available for the version of the extreme tuning software that I downloaded, even though it invites you to use help by pressing F1. Perhaps SCT has now provided that help file. It would have made life easier at least to figure out how to load in your tune image file to manipulate.

Has anyone been able to get this software to run? I have a SCT Xcalibrator with 2 tunes already loaded. Can I access these tunes on the Xcalibrator or do I need the actual files, manipulate them and then upload? I copied the factory tune back to my '04 so the Xcalibrator should be in a programable state, but I can't unlock it to access the files. Anyone have any ideas?

You won''t be able to upload them from the xcalibrator to the PC. You have to get your tuner to send the tune file to you, I believe it is a .xtr file or something like that. Then once you have the file you can change it and then download it to the xcalibrator.

See the alternative auto forum for a glimpse of Lidio's policy on this. Looks like you need to find a vendor that will work with you on this, because they all don't have to provide you with the .xtr files to modify on your own. As Lidio states, he sees no reason for anyone to make much of a change to his tunes so having the cable setup and the extreme software on your system may not get you much. Also, having a flasher without the backing of a tuning expert may not be worth much. I'd bet that Lidio or Dennis would charge nearly full price on just a tune for you to load into your free-market purchased x-calibrator.

After looking into this more and reading the issues you guys have had, I agree with Mike. Lidio told me he worked his a$$ off to come up with the tunes and saw no reason to have people modifying his tune and calling it a "Lidio" tune even though maybe something has been changed. Sounds like alot of potential headache phone calls. (aka blown engines, munched transmissions, etc.)

After putting Lidio's tune on my car and talking to him on the phone, I am convinced that he's the one to make any changes in reference to any issues I may have. I am going to go with 4.56 gears, Lidio said he would work with me to get the tune right if the initial tune needs tweaking. A few dollars in shipping and handling is worth the EXPERTISE that comes with a Lidio tune.

I couldn't be happier......OK, at least until I get the gears installed. Then it's time to eat Acuras, Bimmers, Caddilac's, Chrysler's, Honda's, Nissan's, Toyota's, and Volkswagen's FOR LUNCH. :D (In a 4400# Beast) :neener:

I have the Xcalibrator and wanted to make some changes to the shift points at part throttle.

I also purchased the cable. I called the vendor that provided it from my cell phone while driving the car, he emailed me a changed tune, I downloaded and drove the car again calling him until I got the shift points just the way I wanted them. :D
