I just got back from San Franciso, where I saw a 300C with the V8 being used as a cab. Just goes to show you how common these cars are and that'll it will be many years or perhaps never , when you see an MM used in this manner!

When my wife drops me off at the airport (RDU) someone always tries to flag her down... thinks shes driving a taxi! Most of the taxis here are black CV's, GM's or Lincolns. :bandit:

We have a member here that use's his MM for an airport limo, think he's from WI area.
Edit, he's from MN, and looks like more than just an airport Limo, member is LimoMerc.

No way. I can't believe it was the V8. I mean you know there are 3 engine choices right?

Well he said 300C, I think lots of people dont know that there is a 300 Base, 300 Toruing, 300 Limited and 300C.......the "Letter car" is the only one with a V8, identifiable with the Fender and trunk Badges, and two Polished Stainless Exhaust Tips.

1. Ditto to what "Horseman" said. 2. You have to know what to look for to identify the 2.7 & 3.5 300's and the Hemi 300C.
Easy way is to look for the 300C ID on the trunk and on the front fenders, just forward of the doors. Also the 300C has larger "Fog Lights" than the 3.5's.
The 3.5 300's have smaller Fog Lights than the 300C. Also the trunk says Touring or Limited. No badge on the fenders.
The 2.7 300's have no Fog Lights. No badge on the trunk or fenders.
3. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That said, the 300 (& 300C) is so ugly, when you look up the word "UGLY" in the dictionary, it shows a photo of the 300C. :puke: :flamer:

I think you can also add that the 300C also has optional HID headlights. My friend is picking up his Ivory 300C on Monday. Said I could take it for a spin without him in the car.

Here's our chance. Perfect time of the year for ice weakening the lake Winnipeg.
Point it on the lake center and floor it with a brick while standing outside !
One less 300C. Good. It will even make a nice glassy house for the fish.

Let's see -
A car company creates and markets a full size, four door perfomance car, even sends it off to it's speciality performance division for a high performance version.
It markets it well, gets praise from the automotive press, and is rewarded with good sales figures. Even Dub takes notice.
Yah, let's make fun of them, the morons.

You're 100% correct, my friend. I still think it's ugly to my taste...and I hate Dodges...would never be caught dead in a 300C.....but, if you don't hand it to them for doing it...you've got your head in the sand (or somewhere else).

Also the 300C has chrome mirrors noticed that at 1 of the largest Chrysler dealers in NE Ohio all the 300C's had the chrome mirrors plus the 17'' Mag wheels.

Let's see, maybe I don't like the styling. Maybe I go so far as to think it's one of the ugliest things on the road. Is that a valid reason for me to reject it? Obviously not, since you obviously like it. What was I thinking having my own opinion? In future I'll clear all of my opinions with you first.

Well put. I certainly don't want one, but I could easily discredit a number of other vehicles before picking on the 300C... let's not even mention the SRT version!
I think there's some sour grapes here. Mercury could have done it first, and I'd like to think done it better too. They didn't. They stopped short. The market place has spoken; we get rare & they get popular. From the stockholder's perspective, Mercury loses and Chrysler wins (well Ford and Daimler).
If you want to really get mad at the 300C... I bet it was another nail in the Marauder's coffin... Mercury could have done a number of things better, but having the 300C to compete against instead of used Impala SS's really sours the potential.
We've got more in common with Hemi 300 drivers than lots of other cars on the road; I'm not sure its brilliant to make fun of them. Even if our cars are way better looking! :)

After reading some of these I see you mean taxi cab.
I was thinking truck cab. It's uglier than most truck cabs and that's what truckers are after, right?
I think maybe a hearse would be an appropriate use for a 300. Or maybe a coffin.

It was definitely a 300c with the hemi,as it had the hemi logo and the twin exhaust tips.

Might be as I was driving pass and noticed every 300C badged had the Chrome mirrors and bigger rim/tire package over the other 300 Touring versions sitting beside them
