I guess they don't realize how many they could sell. I'd either trade my '04 in or buy a 2nd one!

I'd love to see Ford set the SVT boys loose on the Crown Vic.. squeeze the 5.4L engine in there, supercharge it, throw some Marauder wheels on it and call it the SVT Panther.

Why not! I'm with you Steve, and wouldn't be surprised to see 'em do it. When you think about it, it's a wonder the Marauder progect ever got off the ground.

[no supercharged Marauder]Its amazing what Mercury accomplished with the 2003-2004 Marauder program. I guess without SVT's help, they single handedly created a potential monster of a performance car. A once in a lifetime car! Its a great high performance car right off the showroom floor, or, you supercharge it to the max. All the while you can drive comfortably along. It truly will go down in automotive history as a great car, even if the collectible resale value never appears. Not too many cars are this much fun to own and drive. Marauder ownershio is an exclusive club. And it reminds me of the performance cars of the '60's. No other car on the market does that.

Let's see, SVT canned the Lightning, no more Focus SVT and it will be a while before the have a new Mustang SVT. Why not pull the trigger and put the Marauder back online as a SVT version with the new Mustang GT engine and a SVT badge?

Blah!!! I hope they never revive the name!!! (go go gadget Flame Suit)

I like the exclusivity of the limited number of 03/04 Marauders. We all know Ford and Mercury shot themselves in the foot by nixing the Marauder.

So be it.

All true.

SVT wanted no part of Marauder. (called it a Mercury brand?)

John Coletti said that he had a full plate at the time:confused:

He only had 38 engineers to work with?

Also was quoted as saying their was nothing wrong with Marauder that an extra 50 HP could not fix? Gee John you think:rofl:

Yeah...F/L/M has gone tits up on muscle cars and their stock is going quickly down the poop chute....I feel real sorry for the UAW because I fear they are gonna catch the brunt of the MAJOR profit loss the Ford children are having now....
