Why would you consider that ram air. It just seems to be sucking in hot engine air to me. Ram air would force air in at speed from under the bumper or through an opening in the hood. Still looks nice.

I think the RAI stands for Restrictionless Air Intake...
The purpose of this intake, just like the K&N Aircharger,
is to allow you to use an air filter/box combination that has greater surface area,
that does not restrict the flow of air like the OEM air filter/box does.

RAM AIR would come throught the hood, or some other air inlet
and allow the vehicle to scoop up air as it was traveling,
and direct the air to the intake.

I do have silver.
It's called a Ram Air Induction because the drag racers (Mustang & MM) remove the headlight at the track. With the S&B Powerstack filter being filtered on the top also, you DO get a Ram air effect.:D
