I was looking how our airboxes draw in fresh air from behind the drivers side headlight and wondering if adding a funnel shape to the end of the straight tube would help bring in more fresh air?
As illustrated in the image below.(sorry for the poor photochop)
I know that some drag racers will remove their headlight for better air flow.
This idea of adding a funnel to the opening might even help those of you that opted for removing the airbox in place of a cone filter setup.

What do you guys think?
Is this idea worth anything?

If you do that then the headlight won't fit. The head light takes the space of your funnel.

Great Idea. Barry, Cruztaker, has done this to his MM and gained about 0.1+ second on the 1/4. You do get a real ram effect using this method. I plan on using this on the Atlanta FFW in April. Now I just need a little more help from a funnel type piece?? Of course this is only practical on the 1/4. I would not normally drive without my driver's side headlight.
