Can anyone recomend a good place to have my 4.10 gears installed?
I think I may have a carrier, pinion, or outer wheel bearing making noise, but the gear change requires that all to be taken apart, so I'd be foolish not to replace the pinion seal, pinion bearing(s?), carrier bearings and outer whee bearings and grease seals. That should take care of it, unless I need half-shafts too. (not too familar with the problem. ) Of course, I'd probably change all that if I didn't have a noise.
It may be tire noise, I'm just not sure.
I know one dealer NOT to take it to, and I know several here will recomend Team Ford.
Does anyone have any knowldege about Parkway Ford in Adairsville, Ga? I belive they are an SVT dealer also.
I live in Calhoun, Georgia, about halfway between Chattanooga and Marietta. (Maybe a little closer to Marietta, but Chattanooga seems to be a quicker drive due to the Atlanta traffic)
Any helpfull advice would be appreciated.
