That's a rare one....I think they made far fewer 'Blackwoods' than they did Marauders.

Congrats on the new purchase. I know Dan's been looking for one for a while. Glad you found one, sure looks like a beauty. I loved mine for the time we had ours. I think it got more attention than the MM, especially from other truck owners.

The exact number of them are unknown, they made less than 3500 of them and only for the 2002 model year.

It has the same 5.4 DOHC 32 Valve V8 that the Navigator has. Rated at 300HP. 4R100 Trans and a 3.73 LSD rear. This monster has an 8700LB towing capacity. Really cool truck too :banana2:

The dealer had one of those new Lincoln LT pickups in black on the lot. My god are those expensive! So was the Blackwood from what I read. I guess it 's the comeback from the Wood.

Dan, I think a little over 5000 Blackwoods were made. Barry, if you figure a loaded F-150 runs around $40,000 a Lincoln Mark LT starting at $39,995 is not bad. Cadillac's truck can push into the $60,000 range.

Nice catch! I debated between the Blackwood and the Marauder at the time of purchase. 02 Blackwood carry over 34k. 46k sticker.
As for a name how about LWOOD. Kind of catchy and its on the K.I.S.S. plan
