Hi everyone, it's me again. I have a little request to make to everyone on this site. In the interest of fairness and to make a point, I'm asking everyone who has had an engine problem, be it blue smoke on start-up or ticking sounds eminating from within the confines of the engine, any mechanical quirks, oil consumption issues, sound off now because I will print this stuff and take it with me when I return the Marauder to the dealer on the 15th of this month. I will be seeing the regional rep on that date and it would be nice if I could arrive with all guns loaded in the event that he tries to blow me off.
Thanks

I had my heads replaced at 7K for the dreaded ticking, no problem since. I never had any blue smoke or oil consumption.

My valve "tick" and "puff" of smoke on start-up all began after about 1,000 miles of ownership. Ford replaced the driver side cylinder head and found that many exhaust valves were "loose" and slappign around due to heat-damaged valve guides. The entire thing was buttoned back up and within 1,000 miles, it started ticking again. My service manager is pretty ticked off about the problem, not at me. He vows to replace it again as soon as the Romeo plant releases their long overdue revised head casting.

Mine has ticked since day one. No fix on the horizon.

I'll send you my collection of 'tick' links thast I have saved up around here over the last 3 years.
