Had my oil analysis done @39,428 w/ 2,827 miles on the sample. All metals had a significantly smaller PPM, (with the exception of molybdenum which was with in the normal range), than my 12,705, 8,073 and 5,715 mile samples.

Keep in mind this is on a car that has over 90 runs down the track and enough mods to run 13.7! :banana2:

90+ runs! I did not notice that the first time. That is prtty tough duty. Is the car Supercharged?

How do you wear numbers compare to mine? Specifically Fe and AL. What was the TBN?

Also, FYI Molybdenum is an anti wear additive in some oils. It is not a wear metal.

Interesting to see the differences in the oils, and what Blackstone doesn't report....

The 90+ runs are over the life of the car. She is N/A.
I added my numbers next to your after the /.

These $20 UOAs are fairly useless. They won't tell you about the important stuff like your timing chain tensioner arms and chain guides failing (nylon, doesn't get picked up by these cheap consumer-level UOAs). Just change your engine oil regularly and it will last a long time.

The reason I do it is to determine how far I can go between oil changes to get the most use out of my oil,
based on the products I use and my very own driving habits.
If you are going to pay more $$$ for better oil and filter products,
its nice to know that you can get more use out of them also.

A head gasket failure that puts antifreeze into your oil
will tear up your engine faster than a failing timing chain tensioner will.
And by the time the tensioner is worn out, its time for a rebuild anyway...

I did mine to learn more about my engine and what I can expect for durability based on how I use her and the mods that I have done.

I am going with an S/C and I am confident the odds are in my favor for an additional 60+K miles on the engine.
