Did a small modification the other day, I had both mufflers cut out and pipe weld in thier place. Cost me only 50 bucks, and boy let me tell you what. It breaths a lot better, pickups really good, and that sound.....oh damn. Some 16 year old kid driving an SRT4 found out the hard way, the MM dosen't get real loud until you puch it, whick surprised the hell out of this little punk too....he didn't have a chance. It has a nice classic sound to it, similar to a 64' Ford galaxie I used to have. I told my Grandpa about me cutting the mufflers out he laughed, then i fired it up...he quit laughing. He thought sounded real mean. It's only tempory thing, until i can afford headers and exhaust. But wow, does it sound nice.

How loud is it over what it was? I was just driving around with a friend in a 90 mustang 5.0 modded and he said if fire had a sound it would be my car. that was sweet. i cant imagine how yours sounds.

It sounds real good, and can be controled noise wise especially when Police are present. The more you put your foot into the throttle the louder it gets. It generates a lot of attention, and sometimes stupid ricers. I figured the car looks vicious, it should sound that way too.

There is a member of this board from CT. that also has no mufflers. It didn't sound bad at an idle.

Yea i did this same thing to a 2002 Mustang Gt, it was a little louder than MM, but that might be because it was a manual and the exhuast wasn't quite as long as the MM

Must be y'all are from a state that doesn't do annual vehicle inspections.

'round here (NC) having mufflers is a must (amoung other things).

It's good to see another 2T1, i thought i was all alone here. I also think I'm only one or two marauders in the state of Idaho. You been to Iraq yet? found out I'm going again end of the year.

The extra length of pipe on the Marauder tones it down, mufflers or not.

I may keep it this way if i put headers and Supercharger on. Just to see how much louder it gets

I had the same set-up with a supercharger and it sounded good. Once I got the KOOK's, it was over.. W A Y to L O U D... I have since put on red-hots that are almost blown out...
