Detailing Question

Hey Gang;

A question for the detailing experts out there;

How do you get the area around (and in) trim pieces clean?

The picture shows the basic film/crud in the rear trim piece. (It is not as bad as the picture looks.)

I used a friends orbital polisher, swirl remover, glaze and wax yesterday. The car looks great. I should raise the selling price $500 :D

2. edge of towel wrapped over fingernail
3. bare fingernail.

Usually one or more or some combination of the above.

IF you use a toothbrush make sure that is the softest bristle you can get; anything else and it will result in scratches ( experience speaking here ).

Recommend a camel's hair ( or other natural bristle ) shoe brush. :up:

*At least that's what I use.

Try a 3M Detailing Cloth. You can get these at NAPA or other Auto Stores.

Soft brissle toothbrush to apply some waw to the hard to reach area and remove the oxidation. Repeat with a clean brush to remove.

We save all of our old toothbrushes rather than pitch them for wax detailing.

Mommy replaces brushes every month or so....so I have ALOT!
