If this car stickers for under $50K, I'll give up the Marauder. I think I'm in love!

Wish I could fit in one.
I'll stick with the Marauder...but its nice to see a new one in the works.
Looks like a Kenne Belle twin screw model.

I am not impressed. It is too retro for me. Too boy racer. I would rather buy a Mustang GT for $25,000 and get a Trilogy blower on it. It would still around 450 hp and I could dress it the way I want. Lidio's Mustang looks better and will be better once he puts a blower in it. I feel if you want a "69" Stang find one, not make a new one look old.
I will admit to being a die hard bowtie badboy for 33 of my 34 years on this planet. And I will cling to this until my Corvette sells. But, after having bought a Marauder and seeing the 'new' Mustang body this year and now having seen these Shelby pics, I may have to concede that Ford (with the exception of the 500 and the Freestyle) has the edge when it comes to eye candy that actually hauls ass. Retro looking 'Stang? Sweeeet. GT-40? Words fail me. Chicago Bears? Next Superbowl Champs. Hey, some dreams die harder than Bruce Willis...

I think its awfully good looking. Especially with the 5.4L DOHC Supercharged V8 they decided to grace us with. Better keep it under $40k though, otherwise it isn't as impressive.

Sign me UP!
Black with satin kind of black stripes...like a tie. AHHHGG!
And no matter what you're driving, your garage/driveway is very much complemented by a Marauder. Whether it's a full time car or weekend fun type of thang.
You need both my friends!
I'm sorry but other than the fake gas cap that is hot *****! I especially love the cobra driver's side.
Besides, think of all the things people will come out with for that car...grills and such. Siiiigh.
I am not impressed. It is too retro for me. Too boy racer.

IIRC, Autoweek placed it under $40K. Course, you'll have to wait until the idiots who are willing to pay over sticker swoop in and fatten the pockets of greedy dealers.

I think that is the Adrenalin. Even after seeing a few different pictures I haven't spotted any door handles. Dukes of Hazzard style with the new Sport Trac, I'm diggin it!

I LIKE that GT500!!!!! It has the 5.4L engine!!! it's about time Ford offered some more displacement under the hood than our puney 4.6L Marauder engines. And with the GT cylinder heads, and a twin screw supercharger (BTW, that isn't a Kenne belle supercharger, but it has to be an Eaton twin screw, since that's what's on the Ford GT. The Kenne belle twin screw is an autorotor design, and it looks different than the Eaton twin screw does).
I much rather have a twin screw S/Cer than a roots one any day. The twin screw is superior to both the roots and the centrifugal design, since it offers the best of both worlds. If this GT500 comes in at under $40K, then my supercharged Marauder will be history. but if it comes in at $50K, forget it. This is the closest I'll ever come to a GT. BTW, they're claiming that this GT500 has the same cylinder heads as the GT, so that must mean that the GT500 also has two fuel injectors per cylinder. Right?

ARGH! I drooled on my laptop. I love it! Any idea if this is a one year deal or will there be a few years of Cobras coming out? I'd sure like a convertible if they had one.

That open grille is just begging for a pair of big driving lights in the center....
just like the '67 GT500s had!
I really like it!
P.S. I think that the Ford GT uses a Whipplecharger twin screw S/C.
I'm still trying to figure out how to get one of these on my Marauder.

I'll wait to see if SVT really comes up with a new Panther car. I have a great car now that will hold me until a new Panther hotrod.
 I wonder. . .do the tail lights sequence like an original Shelby?
Either way I think I'd opt for one to replace my Bullitt but I'll keep my
Silver Birch Marauder unless of course they have an SVT Panther vehicle.:D

I'm still trying to figure out how to get one of these on my Marauder.Nope....the Ford GT uses an Eaton twin screw, not a whipple. Eaton and Whipple have a written contract with eachother that states that Eaton will have all of the OEM market on the Lysholm twin screw superchargers, and Whipple has the market on the aftermarket Lysholm twin screw S/Cers.
And for those skeptics, here's a link to their webpage that makes this legal agreement between Eaton and Whipple known to their customers...and BTW, this agreement has nothing to do with the Kenne Belle twin screw supercharger which is a different design (the Kenne Belle S/Cer is the Autorotor design).

Then WTF is whipple talking about here!?
"Same supercharger as the new Ford GT, 07’ Cobra, 08' Lightning & Harley Davidson Truck, Mercury Marine 600SCI and 1075HP EFI"
"The Whipple Supercharger has passed the OEM standards to be factory equipment on the Ford GT and will provide you with unsurpassed reliability and durability, something others cannot compare to. With the latest rotor, bearing and case design, the Whipple 2300AX is simply the best available option. Don’t settle for anything less!
Other companies make false claims and inaccurate judgments regarding supercharger efficiency and kits. It’s a simple fact that the Whipple-Lysholm supercharger has gone through more endurance testing on the test stand and in the field and has passed the strenuous standards of Ford as well as Eaton."
"WHIPPLE/FORD RACING 03’-04’ COBRA SC UPGRADE
WHILE OTHERS MAKE CLAIMS, WHIPPLE DELIVERS
That’s right, get the same ultra-efficient Whipple twin-screw supercharger that’s utilized on the new 550HP Ford GT"

OK, Now I'm confused...(nothing new there..eh?)
-Lysholm manufactures their twin screw S/C and then sells it under license to:
-> Eaton for OEM applications
-> Whipple for aftermarket applications
- Autorotor manufactures a different design twin screw S/C and sells exclusively through Kenne Bell
Am I correct?
