I just got an e-mail form SS Inserts to announce new products so I checked out their site. They have listed under MM wheels quite a few aftermarket wheels for our cars. Some of them are really nice. They are priced between $249.00 to $319.00. www.ssinserts.com

Thanks for the heads-up on MM wheels...I've been looking for a YEAR now for BLACK / 18"x8" / same offset / no STUPID [ in my opinion ] fake rivets or fake bolt heads / steel or aluminum [forged?] wheels. I must be ahead of the curve on the next auto-styling fad, which [of course] will be away from "bling" and towards "classic black" [which never goes out of style!]-----the Goth look?------pretty good thinking for an old man who's still kinda' groovey......those of us who own a Marauder are really annoyed by those who THINK they could......you heard it here first on MM.net.:puke: ;) :bows: :bs: :depress: p.s.-ALL Marauders SHOULD be BLACK [except for girly-men owners]..........:beatnik:

A few weeks ago I tried the 20" from my 05 GT on the rear of my MM and thought it looked very fitting for the car. In fact I've become so used to the 20's on the 05 that the 18's on the MM are starting to look under filling I hate to say. If some stickier or drag radials of some kind were happening for 20's, I'd seriously consider them on my MM as well. Their about $290.00 a rim with or with out chrome. The non chrome versions look very OEMish in my opinion.
The rims are ENKI's LM-1 is the model.

Thanks

They do have a NICE OEMish look...I guess a "Krylon Black" rebuild would work well...and the larger dia. would hopefully add even more clearance for 14" rotors and larger calipers....since Infinity and Chrysler both now have OEM 20" wheels there SHOULD be some good STREET rubber avail. Thanks for info. on the 05 GT application!...[easily$$$$.$$+]...

PASS.. I still like the OEM wheels best. If I wanted a change, I'd get a set of OEM's powercoated.

T'weren't me ... I was somewhere else.

OK, OK ... I was young, impressionable, and needed the money. :D

Yep ... Gonna have to re-learn MORONIC driving all over again (shouldn't be too difficult 'cause there's just so many fine examples to mimic) http://bellsouthpwp.net/g/d/gdmjoe/evil.gif

Lidio -- Yes please! I am VERY interested in seeing how the 20's look and fit on a Marauder! What tires are mounted?

The 05 GT has 20" Enki's all around and they are all four 8.5" wide. The front of the car has 245/40/20 and the rears are 275/40/20. The rear tires are about 1" taller and about 1" wider too. The rears from the Mustang looked very good on the rear of the MM. The rear tires from the GT are a huge 28.8 inches tall!! Which is a little taller then stock rear tires on the MM. Perfect in my opining.

I'll try to do it again very soon.

I really like the OEM Marauder wheels. That's one of many things that sold me on the car. I'm keeping mine on the car! I have yet to see an after market wheel that has the quality of the MM forged wheel. Now if you could get Halibrand to cut some new wheels out of forged stock......................... .... Oh yeah, I'm probably older than most in the club and I like the high polished Alcoas!!

You get extra points for stuff like PAYING ATTENTION. As in not starting a thread when the exact same thread has already been started and has dozens of replies, and not posting the exact same reply (with photo) that somebody else posted and been replied to several times.

Helps if you read a bit before leaping.

Here's the chrome version like Lidio has on his 05 Mustang. I have been considering going to 19" wheels to give me more clearance on the Baer calipers on my car, but I really like the look of these wheels on Lidio's car. The key will be fender well clearance in the front with the car lowered like mine, but at 20" the caliper clearance is gonna be great.

http://www.streetdreams.org//wheels/enkei/enkei_1_5_chrome.jpg

You can get it in a 40mm offset, which is sorta close to the MM stock offset

Wheel while reading the Nov 05 issue of 5.0 Mustang and Fast Fords.

Website is :www.cjponyparts.com, searched using the part number W207. However, the only dimensions they give are the wheel size, 18X9 5LUG S-STYLE BLACK.

I've emailed them to see what the other measurements are, like backspacking, and bolt circle. Will also ask what year Mustang this fits.

Will provide their response when I get it. Price for 4 is $599.95
