Wait a second....That looks like the dyno from a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower!
No...Hold on...You are correct, because a Briggs & Stratton makes more HP but will not rev to 6500 rpm.

People who buy Scion xB's don't buy 'em for the horsepower, they buy 'em for their unique look; and what a great one they have eh? ;)
Also, many buy them to customize them outside of the "engine-world." Yes folks, there are other hobbies besides making it go faster - it's just not our bag.
And so true it is - to each his own. :)
We've got our hobby - horsepower. They've got theirs - looks/style. It's pointless to try to "slap some sense into them" and help them see that they're only making 100HP, but then again, what if they succeeded in "slapping some sense into us" with their hobby (shudder).
In the end, I don't make fun of them, they don't make fun of me. We've all got our focus, right boys? Ours is better :P LOL

When I see all these riced-out cars with everything BUT engine mods I am glad that I was born when I was.
I can't imagine spending every dollar I made as a teenager on the latest subwoofer, DVD screen, neon lights, & vinyl stickers for my underpowered ricer.
I am so glad that I don't have their obsession with cars!
I guess, like you said: To each his own...
P.S. What really bothers me about them is that the little turdmobiles are so LOUD and sound SO CRAPPY...I mean, don't get me wrong, I like a LOUD car if it SOUNDS GOOD....(BIG V8s RUMBLING!) But if it's LOUD it better be FAST!
Also I can't stand their total lack of consideration for others near them. At a traffic light they play their stereos SO FRIGGIN' LOUD that you can't talk to your passenger or carry on a conversation on your cellphone.
You can actually hear the body panels rattle from the stereo.
I am glad that I won't be around having my tax dollars spent on Medicare for all those deaf twits when they older!

Sigh. ... $20K and it still looks like a lunchbox to me. :)
I'd at least have done something more noticible, like rebuild its body styling so it doesn't look like a Chinese takeout container.

Now let me tell you sumpthin'. I'm 18 years old and I do more than see these guys around all the time. I joke with you not, all the ugly rice cars are driven by kids who are in no way/shape/form intelligent. Granted...there are some stupid kids driving Mustangs, but they don't have the cleanest cut beef either.
Whether it's American, Japanese or German...it's generally attractive, well assembled, and decent if the driver was raised well and is intelligent in some fashion. I don't know anyone driving a vehicle you're talking about or anything we here might associate it with, with an IQ above -12.
All the smart kids at schools either drive beaters or decent cars. The ugly ass cars in which the owner says he "takes pride in" as he stands at Autozone buying performance parts are driven by dumbasses.
Look at me, I'm 18 and I can't wait another day to drive a Marauder.

Whew!! I feel a lot less guilty and/or obsessed...I've spent a LOT of money on my Marauder...BUT I'm nowhere near $20,000 dollars!
When I get: new wheels, tires and Todd's TCE front & rear brakes I'll be close to $20,000....and I won't be driving a slowwwww brown and yellow *****box!

James, You are one-in-a-million!
I've got to hand it to you because when I was 18, IF the Marauder was around I would have thought that it was cool, but I would not have wanted one....
Too much like 'Dad's cars'.
I was in love with MUSTANGS....I still am, but I really love my big, fast 4 door sedan!
Nothing is more fun than wasting a ricer while driving a big, heavy, "slow" sedan. :D

I love sports cars like Mustangs too, but I couldn't afford the insurance and there's just something about "Big" "4-door" and "Sedan" I love. The words are orgasmic.
My dad's Cobra is great...but something about the Marauder and how it drives, feels, looks and the image it projects just touches a real sweet spot inside of me. It's safe, good looking, powerful and you can load a cow in the trunk. Not to mention people don't "fear" oversized lawn-mower ricers like the do some big black beastly barge plowing down the left lane.
People sweat with that kind of fear even if the car is still. Low slung and poise, it is simply hot!

Something about that word orgasmic reminds me of the back seat of my 68 Ford Galaxie when I was 18... :D
