Any details?how much of a shot were they using? that was an N/A Cobra motor ,right? Not to throw stones, but listening to the players talk,It appears none of those guys are good engine tuners/ wrenches.I have read many of your posts Billy, Prefering your "Eveready" power,to that of "Juice",I still don't have enough $$$ for a TMS kit,And would love to be knocking @ 12's as others have. However,I don't want these results!

Thanks for your post.

No stones being thrown here bud..... I just found it entertaining since I don't know the owner of that car. but no, the engine can't be "N/A" (naturally aspirated) since it has nitrous oxide injection. So N.O. being a form of forced induction, then this means that it isn't "N/A". other than that, it's just an entertaining vid. But I guess it can be rather sobering if you're thinking of Nitrous oxide injection. Actually, I dunno, since I don't know that much about Nitrous oxide(sorry, it never interested me that much to study up on it).

But my guess would have to be that the engine wasn't running rich enough for Nitrous injection, and a dangerously lean air/fuel mixture occured. Since Nitrous is an oxygen laden fuel (unlike gasoline), there needs to be a much greater fuel supply while the nitrous button is engaged in order to avoid a lean condition. And lean conditions can cause backfires, which in turn can cause explosions like that (atleast with Nitrous oxide). That much I do know.

I got it no problem. The guy blows the upper intake into pieces. Nice ball of flame, too.

Yah Billy,

Poor choice of words,I meant non supercharged motor.Prior years to factory S/C Cobras. That scared the ****z out of those guys!
If I do go to the gas, I will be sure that I get qualified help to install, tune and demo the whole deal.
