the check engine light is on thats a :nono:
I'm telling you...anybody who hasn't "pulled the trigger" yet...doesn't deserve one. I used to live in Mexi...I mean San Antone. EVERYTHING is cheaper there.

Actually it looks like all the dash lights are on, so it may be just ignition on but not started in that pic

Yeah....? Texas is along way away.
You would need Dennis' chip just to get back to work by Monday:up:
Better do a car fax and check for flood damage.
Car Fax only shows you something if it was reported.

I checked the VIN and there is no history. It was built on 6/25/02 and sold on 10/2/02.
Off the subject a little:
I saw an early 300B with traction control, locking gas door, stand alone clock, but with a doughnut spare tire.

Roy: You described the 300B that I have.

To StanleyK:
Your MM VIN # might have been close to the one that I saw near me (last 6: 655794). The early 300B's seemed to be in a transitional phase when it came to feature replacement.
I posted this in the used cars wanted section, I found on Trader Online, 2 "test" cars for sale in KY and NY. the last 6 of their vins are 600036 and 600046, respectively. They also probably have the "preproduction" exhaust tips.

My 300B was built 1/03 with the vin # 667--- and the items mentioned above were deleted . I have obtained to necessary parts for the locking gas door and hope to install it soon. Of the items deleted the locking gas door was the only thing that I really wanted. P.S. Hope my MM is wired. John

Roy is right on the money. Mine is less than 70 units away from the one's he is describing (and much earlier in the sequence than John's (jgc61sr20002) (when I meet up with him in March, I got to see if I have correctly cracked his screen name).
John: You should ask one of the guys (like LML) if he can run you the wiring diagram to see if the necessary wiring was deleted from the harness. Question is how do you (neatly) chase it out to the fuel door?
When we are together you can take a peak at mine if you want.
It appears that mine is a 300AB- (a very rare rH factor indeed!!) I like the coolness factor of that. Like Cruz says, "snowflakes." Besides, it gives us someone to speculate about.
Oh yeah, another thing to speculate about: RF got a VERY COOL tire pressure gage (see this link http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1721), lives on Cape Cod (for those of you who don't know, it is quite posh).....Leaves me wondering is he one of the Kennedy's????

Aside from the door button and solenoid/catch you need the fuel door without the finger relief
I suspect all the wiring is still there
One point of interest, the current Order guide for the Police Interceptor shows the remote fuel door release

Thanks RC I have the fuel door and it is at the body shop being painted. I would also think the wiring would be there ( Haven't checked yet) as it was just about at the time my MM was built that FMC deleted the remote door. John :)

If you want it to look original, better find a tire size/pressure sticker to put inside the new gas cap door!

take a close look at the lower gauges, by the shifter--isn't the left one "off" and the right one "on"---looks it too me--whatya say guys?
Seems the ignit is on but not running--which would mean a "correct" oil gauge wouldn't it ---and the volts on due to ignit turned on...well---comments --
