We agreed at the last meet that central NJ would be our next stop. I think Woodbridge or the New Brunswick area is right in the middle for everyone. So let's throw some dates around and get rolling. How does May 1st or May 8th sound? If anyone is familiar with those areas and know of a place that will put up with our kind, then let us know. Post your ideas.

What I meant was May Day, May 1st, observed to celebrate the coming of Spring.

May 1st is good for me. A bunch of Marauders meeting on May Day is good. I know Bigdog will come up with a good spot.

Can we try for, say, 20 Marauders? In the meantime, everyone practice their u-turns!

Just one quick question....the forecast for Sunday is thunderstorms likely (60% chance). Is the meet still going to happen in the event it is raining? The only reason I ask is because I can get the day off right now but don't want to commit to it and then the meet gets cancelled. Is it going to be rain or shine??? Any ideas? Thanks all! :beer:

We are meeting INSIDE TGI Fridays if it rains.
If its nice then we hang out in the lot for a few,

If you're implying this to me, which I suspect you are after calling me a wuss in the other thread (no hard feelings cause i know you're kidding), I know mine won't melt. :D I did drive to Philly on Friday in the pouring rain from NW New Jersey. It was a 3 hour drive mostly in rain so I'm not worried about melting. I just didn't want to be caught outdoors at the car show in a downpour plus I got invited to a birthday party in center city at the last minute. I actually almost ditched the birthday to go to the car show. :D

Just remembered about this. It's not a good idea to go through NY on this day if you were planning to. It hits all five boroughs. The right lower level of the Verrazano will closed to. I've done this a few times in the past and motorist all always caught off guard in the city. The bikers yell out at the packed streets of cars and say "Get a bike!!!" :D

I've been lazy this past couple of years and missed it. Good ride though.

Had a great meet today. I think there were 11 Marauders and my lone Grand Marquis. I didn't get everyone's screen names and I barely remember their real names. Bad short term memory.:D It was a dreary morning but the sun came out in the afternoon. Couple of the guys did some burnouts on their way out of the area. I think they were trying to scare the traffic into moving out of their way. :burnout:

Hey, I resemble that remark! Bad directions (twice) from restaurant staff caused a NY Marauder to be lost on Route 1. Luckily, Bigdog came to the rescue and provided a Marauder escort to the meet.

Had a good time at the meet as usual. The day turned out beautiful despite the morning rain.

The best part was watching the exit burnouts as folks were leaving. Always worth the price of admission. After MTAMerc's burnouts on the side road, a few vehicles back there was a dude in a pickup truck shaking his head and making dumb remarks. Obviously, no sense of humor, or maybe it was jealousy. And he wasn't a senior dude, either. Just ignore him. He's old before his time. :burnout:
