Wheel damage revisted...and a question

After the obligatory search...all I can find is people experiencing wheel damage from shops due to alignment equipment. I understand there is a special adapter for those things. However, I didn't find any reference to damage to MM wheels from shop machines when fitting new tires to the wheels.

Has anyone experienced, or heard of, damage to MM wheels from tire changes?

All I have is a few very small scuffs, but nothing that is really very noticeable.
Most new tire changers will grab the wheels on the inside,
and any marks they make are very hard to see at all.

Most of the scuffs come from the BALANCE machine...
