Went to the track tonight and made two passes. A 15.6 and a 15.5 with a 2.399 60' time. My MM is bone stock right down to the air silencer. Just wondering what other stock MM's are running?

If you're not stock, please list your ET and your mods. I know gears are the biggest bang for the buck, but what else? Thanks.

Thanks for posting your time.. Now I kinda know what to expect from my MM It's stock execpt for the chip I got from Lidio's last month. Just doing the tune made a real big difference in responsiveness and throttle.

That was pretty close to my ET's before it was broken in. It will improve with some miles 10-12K is where mine showed improvement.15.289@ 92.66.
This year with 3 different newbie drivers, Two people in the car, turned the same time down to the tenth 14.7 (14.7@95.84) See Mods in my sig.
Racing Alone was a tenth better@14.6 My 60' is worse than last year so I am encouraged with practice:D :burnout: I will only get better:o
4500#'sCar& Driver & and a 220#Passenger & 3/4 tank fuel spanked a 99(body style) Cobra Mustang 5 sp. (Yea!, I know the cobra's a way faster car)I took a video:P

I never had the chance to run mine bone stock, But Mrs TR's DTR ran 15.4XX to 15.6XX stock/factory tune at Indy.

The tune and gears feel like they have made a huge difference in both cars.

I ran my car with 1,700 miles on the clock. The only mod it had was a badgeless grille and window tint. I made 4 passes. The best 14.90 and worse was 14.98.

Did you ever run it stock?

Hey Everyone,

When you're talking "bone stock" you're talking about keeping the car like you drove it off the street, right? No pulling the driver's headlight, yanking out the spare tire, lowering tire pressure, stock RAR, etc...?

I think I'm going to run the car at the local strip this summer (it's about an hour away) and do just that. Drive it into the staging lanes, no burn out, no pulling the spare out, and run it. Then I'm going to plug in the tune from Lidio and do a second run and see what happens. Honestly, if I can get into the 14s with just a tune, I'll be ahead of 90% of the ricers up here.

My next mod will be the 4.10s, but I want to see how the car is with just the different tune first. I can't wait!!

Yep, "bone stock " means the way you drove it off the dealership lot. I'm not sure if you could get into the 14s with only a tune. Maybe if it was really agressive and not safe at all?? But I don't think you'd want that. Its always good to get a "baseline" in to see roughly how much each mod helped.

My April 02 Build 300A ran 14.8s and 9s bone stock.

It'd run faster now for certain, it's really loosened up
and livened.

No don't need that :D , from what I understand, Lidio's tunes are excellent for all around driveability. That's what I'm really after anyways. I plan on doing the baseline, then a run with the tune, then eventually put the 4.10s in and head back to the track.

Some guys probably did not have to adjust thier tire pressure from where it was at delivery:rolleyes:

My best run bone stock was a 15.19 @ 93 and change. Since then, things have changed a bit.

Worst stock run for me was a 16.78 @ 86 MPH Slide sideways and heading for the left lane so I had to get off the gas and correct it

Best time was my 14.97 @ 94.8 MPH with 50/55 degree temps. Had over a half tank of gas to

Best time with 4.10's/BBK 65MM TB/JDM tuned singel program chip is a 14.503 @ 96.48 MPH in similar temps 50/58 degrees with a little less than half a tank.

Like to see if I can get close to 13's with my Bassani Midlength headers/Xpipe and Dynomax 19" Mufflers with resonatorless tips :burnout: :burnout:

My best was a 15.391 Bone stock, as we say. It's an '04 :D

Don't have one for "the way I drove it off the lot" but after I did the window tint, McGuard wheel locks, remote fuel door (which is probably good for .001 due to less aerodynamic drag coefficient :D ) and the KVRs I had a 14.935 pass, my best before the tune. After the tuner I ran 14.455. Cost me appx $350 for that half second, so I have my own opinion about gears being the best bang for the buck.

Interesting. So a "bone stock" Marauder will run anywhere from a mid 15 to a high 14. I guess I'll find out for myself what the car runs "bone stock". :D

I was running 15.5ish mostly with my car last year.

My best run was 15.010 @ 96mph I think. That was when the car only had 2k miles on it, now that the engine has loosened up some, I'm thinking I can just break the 14s.

Talk to the other drivers in the staging lanes too. There is plenty of good (and bad) advise out there. Also good to find out what the track prep is like.

Bone stock, I've fired off 14.8's pretty consistently (with spare, stock paper filter and tire pressure untouched from the road at 32lbs). My 60' times are in the 2.2xx range...

As a note, I ran 15.2's when I hade less than 2,000 miles on the odo. The Marauder definitely gains some kick as the engine loosens up.

Yes you can.
I ran 14.86 with only a computer reflash,no gears,stat,nothing but a tune.

Mine ('03A) ran 15.4-15.5s bone stock...@ 3,000 miles on odometer.

Although many members have noted significant decreases in ETs after putting some more miles on the engine.

15.01 if I remember correctly, for bone stock. Just put down a 14.522 with flash, pullies, plugs, and K&N filter. My best ever. Spun the tires a lot off the line (60' time showed it) so a proper launch and who knows. Mine seems to have "loosened up" rather nicely after 88K miles.
