Looks like we'll be seeing a crap-load ( pun intended ) of these ugly mo-fo's if they are right. :bs:

Bobby, DMC does not put all this dough into retooling and such not to make it up in sales.Looks are subjective,Would I buy one? no!
But they (DMC)do have a four door performance car(s),and if it sells well, what do you think even the stupid people from F L M are going to do? FMC will have to respond eventually.:o

I guess that is my point, Mercury had a four door performance sedan, Ford could have done it's version, but they abandoned it in favour of the AWD 500, and a number of other insipid offerings.
It seems that was an error in judgement if indeed, the charger takes off.
With performance once again becoming a desired option in the domestic market, how could Ford miss the boat so badly.
By the time they figure this out they may never catch up . :depress:

Would you by for example a 2007 Ford Marauder that was based on the Ford 500 body? I shudder at the idea. :puke:

AWESOME!!! I have no loyalty... I chose the Marauder over the Magnum because of cost.
The success of the LX platform can only mean great things to come by all manufacturers. This is a very good thing.

I have heard Ford is adressing the performance minded with some new product lines/ideas,but have only seen the ultra high end stuff so far.
Ford may have to rethink;"The direction we(they)are headed"...,soon!

I would. I finally drove the neighbor's Five Hundred. It is a decent chassis saddled with a terribly weak engine for the size of the car. I think that high powered cars are better served with AWD. The Five Hundred has real potential.
That said, I have no faith in Ford's willingness to make a decently powered Five Hundred affordable. I expect that when I wear out my Marauder DB will be the only company with a big V8 sedan at a price I can afford.

I have seen three of them on the road here. A little better looking on the road but not by much.

And they will promoting their 5.7 Liter HEMI...Hemi heads, that is about all. Using the name to it's fullest extent. I remember the "real 426 Hemi". Now that was a motor for a Mopar...

Tellya what - I'd buy one of those over anything Ford has to offer right now. I love the new Mustang, but it's too friggin' small.
Sure I don't like the looks as much as the MM, but it's much better than the 300 and it's powerful RWD.
Ford had better get its act together.

Agreed. The other P/O's at work are giddy over the Charger PI. It looks smaller and is a bit ugly. It has an intimidating look... one that some agencies may want to stay away from :D .
Looks like a Magnum sedan. I like my exhaust tips better. I like my everything better.

I think I'll wait for the Marauder II to come out...I hear the Ford guys are looking at the past success of the Mustang II and will make a Marauder II based off the Escort chassis.
I'm stoked :beatnik:

Hate to admit it ...
But I like the exterior looks of that from the front end(really really like that nose) to just behind the drivers door. The roofline & rear doors are fugly ... & the tail end looks like a plain ole' Stratus.

While not a big fan of the 300C ...
I think the Charger nose would look pretty nice on it.
Always felt the Lincoln LS suffered from a similar dissapointment.
I do like them, nice looking nose & lines to just behind the front doors ...
But a rather bland tail end & roofline from the front of the rear doors back.
A taile end swap from the S-Type Jaguar could fix that up tho IMHO :

Too bad cars can't be built & ordered "a la carte" style.
