What's a QUAT?

I've used, and have been asked about the term "QUAT". Being somewhat surprised how few folks know about the late Bert Kliban's wonderful cartoons, an explination is in order. "QUAT" is the term for those loveable four legged meatloaf(s) we call cat, that Bert Kliban coined in his famous 70's book "CAT". It's still in print (about 20th printing) and you can obtain a copy at any book seller. Hap's widow has begun a major marketing effort, and I'm sure we're going to start seeing more of 'em. This one was always a favorite.
