Here is the front. Now how is it that the back one comes off??? Better start a search.

I plan on putting the snake behind the grill on or near the heat exchanger.

There's two pins horizontal with the center of the emblem. Use a stout piece of fishing line and "saw" it back & forth, from both sides until you hit the pins. Then top & bottom, same thing. Take your time, it comes right off. ;)

FordNut,

What kind of cobra is that?
Is that a "fender badge" or is that from a "keychain"???

It's from a UPR keychain. The real fender badges are too big. These are metal, too!

They just barely fit inside the circle on the back emblem. It might look good to use one of these on the back and one of the Cobra fender emblems on the front.

With the amount of time I put into these, they would be ridiculously high.

Get a Dremel and some of the keychain emblems and go to work on it!

Maybe now that I've done a set, somebody will come along and start copying them and selling them. They would probably even be better than mine, as I slipped a couple of times with the Dremel tool and made some minor scratches on the chrome surfaces.

I would like to take the "Hockey Stix" out of the OE badge....That would look VERY NICE!!!

Removing the badge from the grill is simple....I wonder if there is a round generic badge about that size that we could put that little "Snake" into??

Keep the ideas coming!! :bows:

Here is the rear one:

I'll try to get pics of them on the car in the morning before I drop off the car for some service work. Need alignment and rotors turned before I put on the new tires. Wheels from Lidio were shipped out to me today, so next week I'll plan on the swap to Eagle F1 GS 295/45-18 rears along with a fresh set of fronts, then Road Force balancing. Intake should be back from thermal coating next week too, so in the next few weekends I'll be trying to make more power! Prolly won't be able to get much done on it the last weekend of the month, it's time for NHRA in Thunder Valley!

The epoxy didn't settle smooth enough on the rear one, so I'll be doing some rework on it sometime.

Fordnut, that looks awesome! If I didn't just do the God's Head conversion, I would consider this. What epoxy did you use to fill in the gaps? It looks black, I'd like to fill in the front badge with this same material.

NAPA 2 hr cure time. Other times had different colors. I would have preferred quicker, but then I would have to paint on top of the epoxy.

Thanks, FordNut. I think we have NAPA up here. I'll have to take a look.

Here's the emblem with the Cobra. I ground away all the hockey sticks and filled the void with epoxy then inserted the Snake. After that, I ground away the excess epoxy which gave the stippled effect, then painted them flat black. The one on the back is from a 69? Marquis Brogham, and done the same way. Thanks again to FordNut for the great idea.
