Here's the make up for an interesting race (if we had 4 lanes):

Tuned MM with stock gears (Me)
Stock 300C (Friend #1)
Tuned '05 Mustang GT 5sp. manual (Brother)
Honda Civic w/344 fwhp 5sp. manual (Friend #2)

My two friends have been ribbing each other for months now as to who would win in the quarter.

Friend #1 thinks his 300C will wax Friend #2's Civic (The thing's turbocharged and has been dyno'd at 344 fwhp).

Just for kicks, I threw myself and my brother into the mix, just to get Friends 1 and 2 riled up.
:D

Here's how I see the race going:

300C, Mustang, and MM all get the holeshot 'cause the Civic can't get any traction to the ground. Due to the larger displacement of the 300C and the lighter weight of the 'stang, they pull ahead. The Civic finally hooks up quarter way down the track and begins catching up to my a@#.

Depending on whether or not my brother blows a shift, he should win the race, the 300C second, and the Civic will probably pass me and all three will have handed me my butt.

How I would like to see it finish:

My MM blasts out of the hole on all three, and shows it's taillights all the way down the track.

Who do you think will win?

Tuned MM with stock gears (Me) ~14.5
Stock 300C (Friend #1) ~14.5-15.0 (almost even run with your MM)
Tuned '05 Mustang GT 5sp. manual (Brother) 13.2-13.5
Honda Civic w/344 fwhp 5sp. manual (Friend #2) 12.5-13.0 (dunno how much they weigh)

So my guess:

1). Honda Civic
2). 05 GT
3). Your Marauder
4). 300C

Although 1 and 2 would be close probably, with 3 and 4 being close as well.

The STOCK 2005 GTs are running 13.6 in bone stock form w/ the 5 speed manual. If it's tuned and has a good driver, he can probably pull low 13s.

We laugh at ricer Civics but if it has 344 front wheel hp with a turbo... and a light ~3000lb chassis, that's almost like a 450-500 hp Crown Vic. Probably runs mid 12s in all honesty (or faster?)

My guess is on the Civic.

Followed by the Mustang.

Yeah, the Civic would definitely come in first. There is a guy around here in NC with a 2 door Civic running nearly 350 hp, and he runs 12.04's!! Yikes!

The honda may cross the finish line first but I can never call that car a winner... well maybe in a motorcycle race :P

*Tuned '05 Mustang GT wins!!!

High HP Honda (I've NEVER used those words together before! :o ) spins wheels like crazy, has insane trap speed but posts lousy ET.
Much like Mac's recent drag experiences with street tires and then with good drag radials.

Dead heat between the Marauder and the 300C for 3rd and 4th place...

*(Isn't Lidio running 12.9s in his tuned '05??)

The family honor is at stakes. Make this 3 easy steps adjustment:

1- Be a sport. Hand over one or two bills to your brother so that he bring friend number 2 civic to a strip club.
2- Store that 250-300 pounds useless iron barbell set stored in the basement under the friend number 2 trunk cover civic.
3- Enjoy the race and laught !!

Civic? and he's a freind? ouch.

Yeah, I know, but he's a couple of years younger than us. Friend #1 and I can't really lose because the Civic should win, with the amount of work and money he's got sunk into the car. Both our cars weigh almost twice as much as the Civic. I would be happy just sticking close to the 300C. The owner's a great guy, but he's diehard Mopar and I'd like him to think twice about being "invincible".

My brother might be the only one who might get really pissed. He's diehard Mustang, and is pretty hard to convince that he might actually lose to the Civic.
