To all you wheel experts out there, here's a question for you.

I happen to think that the stock MM wheels are really sharp, and would never think of replacing them but didn't the window sticker say our wheels are, "Forged Polished Aluminum"?

How different (if any) is that from "Chrome Wheels"?

The MM wheels are forged from a solid piece of aluminum. Chrome wheel means that what ever metal the wheel is made from is then chrome plated.

Forged or Semi-Solid Forged: The ultimate in one-piece wheels. Forging is the process of forcing a solid billet of aluminum between the forging dies under an extreme amount of pressure. This creates a finished product that is very dense, very strong and therefore can be very light. The costs of tooling, development, equipment, etc., make this type of wheel very exclusive and usually demand a high price in the aftermarket.

Chrome wheels are, well, wheels that have been through the chrome plating process. They can start out as forged, semi-forged, cast, single or multi-piece. Marauder wheels can be chromed. Two layers of coppe plating are applied, then a layer of nickle, then the chrome layer. It really makes wheels -- and other parts -- pop, in my opinion.
