I still can't believe what a great time I had at FFW last weekend and I keep thinking about it. Again, I want to thank Todd for all of his help and support. He is a great friend and an even better pit b*tch! :D I wish more of you guys had come out for this event.

Nice Marty. A it's already been stated, that launch looked just fine without any visible wheelspin, and that second gear shift sounded awesome!!! In fact, it sounded like a standard transmissioned car being power shifted!!! :banana2:

It's funny that you say that Billy. When I was driving the car, I felt like this was "the" pass as everything sounded great. When I picked up my time slip, I thought it read 12.6, and I was like "WTF??" then when I took off my helmet and my glasses (the only way that I can really read), I saw the E/T I felt stoked!

I am glad that everyone has enjoyed the video as much as me. Every time I am tired of being in the office, I watch it and it perks me right up! :D

You got NO wieght transfer helping you BITE the track.
I know you built LK as an all around driver but lossen up the front a little at the track and become the fastest in the land.

I agree that the chassis needs to be tuned. We have a really beefy sway bar up front so that really hurts weight transfer. We may drop it off to see how it launches. Also we have adjustable shocks and we need to fiddle with the settings on those too. Optimal drag settings and optimal road settings can vary significantly.

By the way, Editor's Choice always goes to a Rustang at FFW -- that's just the way it is! :D

Nevermind the videos, everyone needs to see this machine run and shine. The sound, the speed, and all that are pretty amazing in person. And for those who used to think that "pretty cars are slow," welcome to the future! Personal preferences aside, (not mine but everybody's in general) there wasn't a finer looking car at FFW. Talk about attention to detail, both mechanical and appearence. 30 mile cruise, run a bunch of hot 1320 passes, pull off a peoples choice in a show the next day. It don't get much better. L/K is the current yardstick to measure all Marauders by IMHO.

And besides that, I don't think that he would even be able to get the RPM's up that high during a brake torque w/out them breaking loose and doing a burnout on the starting line. With drag radials, I can't even brake torque my Marauder up to 2,500 RPM w/out the tires spinning while the car is sitting there.

Anything over a high idle while doing a break torque launch sends mine spinning,And I can't hold a candle to L/K :o or BGM:bows:
