Just wanted to give a big :2thumbs: to Jay! I ordered a JLT kit late on the 15th (last Friday of the GP), and received the box today (25th). That's the 6th business day, and it had to cross the border to get into Canada. This is really quick service, in my book!

After opening the box, to look at the new toy, I must say - everything looks great!

I really want to install it now, but at the same time, want to do some before/after testing. Preferable at a drag strip, but at least with a G-Tech, to see what kind of difference this makes (and then some back-to-back races when possible). I will post my results, once I get them.

If the kit performs as well as the company, I'll be very pleased!

Again, big :2thumbs: to JLT.

Nice, I got mine back in January and I must say I love the hummm the motor

makes at a quarter throtle. No complaints at all except that annoying sound
that comes under the hood that gives it that mean sound ;) :2thumbs:

Does the JLT use a K&N cone filter?
If so, I'd be wary of using it. The last K&N filter I used let all the dirt/dust/sand (from driving through a corn field) right into the engine. The filter didn't trap jack schitt. The cotton gauze holes are large enough to allow sand particles to pass through.

That was the last time I used a K&N filter... I have a 03 Marauder intake on my 00 Vic and I use the stock paper filter only.

The K&N is great for the track since it is better than running an open intake.

If it ever stops rainging here, I'll get it done. It's not even rain, really - just enough to keep to roads wet...

If nothing else, I'm meticulous to ensure consistency. Since I'm not willing to wait until I can go to the track (too anxious), here's the G-Tech plan:

A set route to bring the car up to full operating temperature, prior to install
visit private track
Average of 4 runs, alternating direction (east-west-east-west)
Go home
Install JLT and allow for a smoke break
same route as before
visit private track
Average of 4 runs, again
Go home
FULL cool-down (1+ hour)
2 minute drive to the private track
Average of 4 runs, again (this is more about a "personal best" attempt)

Post results ;)

Drving through a corn field??? So, were you chasing the perpetrator? If not, perhaps you WERE the perpetrator... :D
