I just wanted the club to know I spoke to the owners of Naake today and I am in the process of setting up my account to handle the east coast, NAAKE within the next few days will be adding a Quad shock system to independently adjust each individual strut and or shock, as soon as the information is available I will post it, so I am proud to announce this new product line and I want to offer the club a group buy on this kit

http://www.naake.com/MercMarauder.html

The clubs normal price is 899.00 but if we can get five or more sales I will work with the club for a group price, so once we get confirmed orders I will call you with pricing.

Bravo, Dennis, congrats! Count me in, I am #2 for the whole kit, with adjustment tools.

I love the shocks, but I am unsure about the springs, so, one question...Can I keep my KB front springs? I'm in love with the ride and handling I have, and I don't know much about the springs Naake/QA1 use in the front. I was very disappointed by the Eibach, don't want to go there again. Any choice here? It won't change my mind, but let me know anyway, please?

I asked about this, too, and my tech said "no." The shocks on the front are different than the rears, in that they are setup for coil over application. I'm not real clear on the technical reason why. I'm sure the definitive answer is forthcoming.

I will say that I've driven a car with these coil overs, and the ride was superb.

Let's not forget to thank Todd who got the ball rolling on these and had them designed for Legal Knevil, at which point they were tested on his car.

You have to hand it to Todd. He pioneered a lot of developments for our cars and we have all benefited from them, yet Todd forgot to make any money for himself on any of these deals (QA1s, Metcos, etc., etc). Personally, I am glad that I at least bought dinner for Todd tonight.

Damn, now that I think about it, Todd really needs to go into the auto business. Don't y'all agree?

I'm in full agreement here, Martin, but within the parameters of what really took place. Todd's contribution to us from Metco followed first and second production runs of the "ZM" control arm kit, there were about 50 sets of this mod on the pavement before any of us got a peek at the Metco version. Very sweet stuff BTW, but not the product of "pioneering."

The Naake/QA1 mod is another great moment and thank you Todd, but one due to unfold someday. I was working on a likewise mod myself, and IMHO, it was just a matter of who would make them, when, and how much we'll pay, all falling into place. Do not overlook Todd's contribution with the Metco drivershaft loop, and induction bellows, both originally developed and fit to the Marauder by Kenny Brown, and standard equipment on 50 plus Kenny Brown Marauder S cars on the street today, most of them produced before we heard of Metco here.

A sincere tip of my hat to TAF, but his contribution and accomplishment should be measured against that of many others here, yourself included, who developed and delivered mods for this great automobile on behalf of MM owners at large. FordNut and Donny Carlson also belongs on this list, and applause is due to all, in proportion to thier accomplishment. BTW, thank you too, Martin, for lapel pins, fender badges, and more recently, mouse pads, all just as important as performance mods, to the typical owners here. I love it when an average Joe with little to gain, steps up and takes a risk, and without thinking of making any money on the deal. In fact, those people I mention here would probably look back to remember that they lost money on the deal, and not really care. This accomplishment is what it's really all about.

As I recall it, I bought you dinner back then too. Was it enough thanks?

Yes, as a matter of fact it was. Food is, an always has been, the way to my heart. And, simple stuff works best. Say DQ, Waffle House or BBQ.

I didn't mean to suggest here that others weren't also contributors. And, I don't believe that I said that at all. My purpose was solely to hi light some of Todd's achievements (many of which have shone so brightly with the launch of LK, which has me in teh ATL yest again this weekend) and publicly express appreciation for his efforts.

I just received Naakes kit yesterday. Joel at Naake is very helpful. The instructions are great. I am happy that I did not install the Eibachs

This thread started out with a Group Buy offer and somehow it just died.

I agree that would be a SOUND decision, I called Todd the other day to thank him for what he's done.

As far as the real reason of this thread I wish I coud afford to get in on the GP but it will have to be further down the line. Enjoy the better handling guys.

It would have to be. The double adjustables would be at least two benjamens more.
