Home Sweet Home

Army soldier in Iraq with his tiny "plot" of grass in front of his tent.
It's heartwarming!
Here is a soldier stationed in Iraq, stationed in a big sand box. He asked
his wife to send him dirt (U.S. soil), fertilizer and some grass seeds so
he can have the sweet aroma and feel the grass grow beneath his feet.
If you notice, he is even cutting the grass with a pair of a scissors.
Sometimes we are in such a hurry that we don't stop and think about the
little things that we take for granted.

Upon receiving this, please say a prayer for our soldiers that give and
give (and give up) so unselfishly for us.

Thank you for the pic Ray. It goes to show you what we really take for granted and the little things in life that make us appreciate it.

Thanks for the post!

It will give me something to think about when I mow my lawn today.

I like his security system leaning up against the table there to keep tresspassers off his lawn.

If this soldier was in Iraq in 2000 as the photo shows he would not have been around welcome company

Don't take me the wrong way, I know the picture is authentic, just that whoever owns that camera didn't set the date which leads to me giggling to myself.
