New member from MI

I've been lurking around here for awhile, and I finally am posting. Just a quick intro, I'm from Taylor, MI, just a short drive from Detroit. Don't have a Marauder (heck, I can't even afford one), but I've loved the cars since they were intro'd.
I'm partial to V8 RWD cars (particularly FoMoCo's offerings), so I picked up a 1996 CVPI. Not the fastest car, but once I drop in the new PI 2V engine, performance should be satisfactory. :coolman:

That 'PI' engine should be worth @ 260HP vs 210HP (w/duals) stock.

But, as many of us have found out: a healthy bump in HP only makes you yearn for more!! :banana:

Thanks for the welcome guys! And yep, I do know that more power will make me want more, but when I ask myself "how fast can I afford to go?", well, it won't be much more than the basic engine swap :depress:

Still, with the '03 engine (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7969576659&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT) picked up off eBay (9K miles, from civilian CV) along with a few bolt ons (underdrives, ported upper plenum), I should have a grin second in size only to a MM owner's :D

BTW, what's up with the "marketplace" forums? I was wanting to do a "Wanted" post, and it says that I cannot post there...and it looks like no one else has been able to since December.

Heck Just go to KAR KRAFT (http://www.karkraft.com/used_engines.htm) and purchase a low milage used Marauder engine. They're right out of Livonia.

Heh heh... You know, I was seriously thinking about dropping a DOHC into my car (my local salvage yard had 3 Mark VIII's recently...I could have bought any of the engines for $200), but the fitment and wiring/computer issues scared me away. :o

Ah well, one of these days, I shall have a Marauder! Or perhaps, I'll find a way of making the DOHC work in a pre-03 panther... :cowboy:
