I was checking out the California Car Cover catalog, and they had two items I thought might be of interest and wanted to get your feedback and see what you thought:

An aftermarket set of horns that are a lot louder than what to me is the relatively weak horns our cars have (I don't want to sound like a truck but a bit louder works for me.) Does anyone have any idea how difficult it would be to change out the OEM horns?

See the horn at:

Also, I just replaced my ineffective wipers and arms (but kept the stock arms for whenever) with some nice ANCO blades, but then saw these at the same site. They are painted carbon fiber/black arms, and silicone blades guaranteed for at least 5 years. I was thinking the muted CF look might go well with the windshield border. (?) Let me know if you think it might be too much.

(Just looked again and the pic here is lame. The paper catalog shows both red and black CF painted blades. The look oretty much like the dash trim on our cars. -N.)

Thanks!

I know Big Joe P installed an old Cadallac horn - boy that thing is loud! I think it was a fairly simple procedure. maybe he can chime in and tell you what year it was from. I am also looking for something a bit louder in the horn department.

I bought the PIAA carbon fiber looking wipers. Didn't look good on my car. May look better on a black car. The wipers themselves didn't seem any better than other wipers. I have some those new low profile blades now. I like that look better. It's a more sleek look I think.

Horn - good.

Wipers - bad.

I've seen these wipers in person and they look pretty lame - good for ricers and 5 HP.

Wipers... those are rice. All they need are LED's and they are sticky rice.

Thanks guys for the info! Good to know. I'll stick with the standard wipers but I'll try the horn mod and see what I can do to replace/upgrade the factory one.
