If you turned to The Weather Channel at all today, you caught a glimpse of the Northeaster hitting our eastern shores in New England.
TWC Meteorologist Jim Cantore got the call yesterday at 11am to head to Cape Cod to cover the storm. He was on the plane at 3pm and arrived on Cape Cod at midnight. Up at dawn this morning, his live coverage started at 6am overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at the Cape Cod National Seashore in Eastham, MA.
Since his location was less than an hour away, RF and I headed out in the storm (50 mph winds and wind chill of 30 degrees) and found Cantore and crew. Besides posing for pictures, he took the time to chat with all us crazy people braving the elements, including "Surfer Dude" who told Cantore "you're my hero!!"
Cantore will continue his live stand-ups at the top and bottom of the hour until 11pm EDT. Tune in!!!
