Marauder vs. 05 GT

I had fun at Mason Dixon Drag Stip today. I didn’t improve on my personal best, but didn’t expect to since I have not added any go-fast improvements this year. Today was the season opener for the NVMC (Northern Virginia Mustang Club). A few of the members brought out their new 05 GT’s. I figured this would be a good match for my Marauder and it would be up to the driver to make the difference. Well that is what exactly happen. I went up against 2 GT’s four times during the day and finished on top 4 times.

No, because we were racing against a light and a marker (1/4 mile). Although the 05 GT is faster, my car crossed the line before his car. The win is in the reaction time. This was not a bracket race. :banana:

I saw an 05 GT run a 14.70 at Norwalk the other day. It was a stick, had some trouble on launch, otherwise a good run.

Well, I was disappointed with my times as well. Running all day at near 14.1 but did manage to get a 13.688 at 102MPH. But this is the first time i have had a car at the track in 3 years so I guess I did fine. Best R/T was .089 I was so skilled cause I thought it was best but then someone got a .02. Looking forward to next event
