I love when I see newbies and lurkers post on the Board. So I was trying to think of a non evasive topic to get some of them to Post.
So I thought of this to persuade some to comment:
What is the most ammount of fuel you ever pumped into your Marauder?
I put 18.41 gallons in mine yesterday.
That is not actually the Largest ammount I have ever put in the Marauder,But I lost my timeslip, I meant reciept:D
PS. Our fuel pumps are in the fuel tank, and I was advised not to run it hard when low on fuel, cause the fuel is what keeps the pump Kool.

Also topping off was suggested to be not wise due to our tanks have a return tube for emissions.
Go Ahead all!

I thought they only hold 18 gallons. How did you get more in there?

As for topping off, I always top off. Never had a problem with any of my cars.

Supposedly the Marauders have a 19 gallon tank.

I put 19.? in one time I drove it down so low,I was sweating it out Bigtime!
That time, I may have been Really close to, hoofing it.

Someone posted a while ago Topping of is not a good idea, due to gas getting into the vapor canister? Do a search on "topping off"

IMO it is not a good idea to run the tank to empty.

I don't think that I have ever put more than 17 gallons in at any fill-up. Of course, I rarely let her slip below 1/4 tank. :D

To avoid sticker shock I fill up at 1/2 tank. The MM gets about 1/2 the mileage my previous car did.

I try not to let it get below a quarter tank, due to the warning ,I learned here ,about the pump being located in the fuel tank.Fuel keeps the pump cool.

Also, in the winter months filling again at the half-way point is a good idea.:cool4:
Let me guess your previous car was an import ?:D
I replaced a f-250 W/ 460 CI with the Marauder.I get over twice the fuel mileage with the Marauder.:P

Well that kind of depends on how you define the term "import". The made in Canada Marauder could be considered a "import". It was a modified Ford Focus ZX3. Strange as it may sound, every engine mod I did either had no effect on the MPG or increased it.

18 gallons, $57 bucks just last week in some small town in the desert near the CA/Nevada border. Good news was for 300 miles I had the car on cruise control at an even 100 mph. WITH the norm a/c on, and the car ran great and the temp gauge never moved a bit, and the mileage was great. The bad news was almost $60 to fill up.

Those stats amaze me, not the fuel prices, the car traveling 100 miles per hour on that much fuel.

about 18, and that was unusual. The norm is 15-16 gallons for me.

As far as mpg , around here I'm getting 20-21, but on the trip to Miami last year I got 27-28 on the highway with alot of 85mph+ stretches. Not bad to me.

Too much fuel, or too little? I had actually driven around town that morning before starting on that stretch, but still that's only around 17 mpg.

Around town with the 4:10 gears my car drinks gas and I barely get 15 MPG, but once the car gets up to speed on cruise control it really does a great job conserving gas.

Yeah, I think 300 miles on a tank @ 100 MPH is great!
