:(

I have the OEM part number, but the Ford Dealer says the '02 CV alternator will work. I have been told it will not.

I have a Trilogy kit and the Motorcraft alternator 3w3z-10346-aa arrived with a pulley that will not fit like my old alternator did. (old alternator is not available to check numbers). The new alternator has the clutch type pulley and the pulley does not allow clearance to reinstall without major modification.

Does anyone know of an alternate part number that will work.

Help!! :alone:

Save the old alt. I see you have an 03. I will dig up the clutch pulley tool so you can get the pulley swapped out.

Thanks for the PM Defyant, I found the tool and just need to be sure I have the correct pulley.

Just a quick tip for ya...... if you're going to install a pulley on the alternator yourself, you best use an impact gun, and get that pulley nut GORILLA tight. It should be atleast 65 ft/LBS of toque put on that bad boy. otherwise, it will come loose when you rev the engine up. Using red LOC-tite on the nut threads wouldn't be a bad idea either.
