I would like to apologize in advance (before you guys kill me) for creating another thread on this subject. I have read every word on every thread on the subject but I still do not know what to do.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

My Marauder's warranty is up in June (18,150 miles) because car was bought in July 2002. Anyway, it smokes on start up (white, but I have only seen white and black smoke so who knows maybe it is blue). It occurs randomly. Doesn't have to be sitting long and this car is a daily driver. I bought it in April with only 14,500 miles on it so you can tell that I use it and that I enjoy it. Well, it occurs every day now. When I took it to my M/L dealer they told my some b/s story that it is just "normal condensation building in the pipes...etc blah blah blah". Because I saw that they didn't know what they were talking about and didn’t want them just playing with it I took my car. Now that I noticed that the warranty is about to expire in less than two weeks I am asking you guys who have had and fixed this problem to tell me exactly what to tell these technicians to fix.

If you guys don't kill me for this thread and my car gets fix I will be ever so grateful.

Get to another FLM dealer before the warranty is up for a second opinion. Perhaps another owner in your area in this forum can recommend a competent dealer.

Where are you from. Don't see location on your post.. Just as Bradley stated, get extended warranty if you have any concerns. Otherwise, a friend at Ford can help in the event you have any issues beyond the 3yr 36k warranty. All Ford dealerships are capable of doing an AWA (Aftermarket Warranty Adjustment) up to 5 yrs or 75k, which means, in the event you have a major problem the dealer can assist. Usually you have to fork out 20% of the repair, and possibly so much after a certain dollar amount, but only if the dealer feels you are a good service customer or it will make you a loyal future Ford customer. Been a while since I have done any AWA's myself, and I know Ford has cracked down on its use. But me personally, I would buy ESP if you have concerns. I didn't buy one, but I get great discounts at my dealer. $25 labor and hour, plus parts 10% over cost. I own 3 Ford products, all run well cuz I can afford to have them worked on. Feel for all others.

Good luck on any decision in your part, we can only suggest our opinions and views.
