The short track has shut down, till a buyer is found. :alone: 1/4 mile high banked. I think the biggest problem was the speedway doesn't own the land its on.The track owners tried several times to increase the size to a 3/8 or 1/2 mile,but the land owner refused. Besides who would want to invest in a track the land owner could shutdown on a whem.
Low car count and low attendance finally did it in. The track needed improvements to allow 2 grove racing.
In service since 1950 the track was on the NASCAR Grand National (now Nextal cup) circuit til 1969.
