A couple of weeks ago our crew flew from Ft Lewis to Vancouver Barracks in Portland (and Back). Check out the view from my seat. :)

Were you harnessed in somewhere? Or just holding on?

My guess he is harnessed in AND holding on. I would too, I wouldn't exactly trust that harness 100% because I know for a fact, I cant fly.

Man,.. I miss the Army sometimes!

Good 'ol Chinook Ramp Rides,... The 'monkey harness' is pretty strong, but I wouldn't want to test its tensile strength by dangling from the ramp!

almost makes me wanna go re-up,.... almost

I had fun with the snake eaters (SEALS) in Thailand with Cobra Gold 94. Went up in a CHINOOK and took pictures of them as they "stepped out" off the ramp at 10,000 feet with their parawings. Not me bubba.

I can go as high as you want to just as long as there aren't any windows around :)

Teamrope: Throughout my career, there have been numerous opportunities to experience low altitude rotary wing flight, over land and sea, hopping from one ship to another, etc.

It's definitely living the dream. Have never turned down a chance to participate in rotary wing flight. Nothing quite like it. The aviation community is a special group of people, a real pleasure to work with them.
