View Full Version : Blacklights on Guages?

I was at a "get-together" at my dorm where we had blacklights on tonight and i happened to glance at my new autometer ELECTRIC trans temp guage and notice that the orange center needle is very reactive to the blacklight and emits an awsome orange neon. Would it be possible to get small blacklights above or replacing the current light? I think it would make the MM guages really stand out.

I don't know if black light bulbs are made that small, but try here:

I've seen UV LEDs in some catalogs. LEDs would be a better choice because they run cooler than incandescent bulbs.

www.superbriteleds.com sells UV LEDs. They may have a replacement.
