How do you provide a LINK to your timeslip if it's merely on your PC and it isn't on any other website?

How do you provide a LINK to your timeslip if it's merely on your PC and it isn't on any other website?Upload it into the Gallery and link the picture itself from there. (Copy the URL (starting with http) that appears in between the UBBCode img brackets.) You cannot link from your computer - must be web-based.

You cannot link from your computer - must be web-based.That's what I thought, but I just didn't know how to do that like you've explained. Thanks. I removed my old timeslip awhile ago only because I wanted to post my latest one, only to find that it cannot be done anymore like you used to be able to on this site. So I guess I'll try what you said.

Let me correct myself. Do NOT include the IMG brackets because you want the URL, not the image itself. Just copy the URL in between the brackets. If you want the image alone to appear in a post, include the IMG brackets.

The way that I did it was just as you said except once I got into the edit paged that you directed us to and uploaded the timeslip from my PC to "my gallery" section, I merely clicked onto the timeslip pic in "My gallery", copied and pasted the web address in the address bar, to the the window at the bottom of the "edit profile" page that you directed us to and hit the "update" button. Thanks again bunny! ;)

Billy - substitute this URL

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/data/500/medium/bestET.jpg

It shows the slip only instead of the Gallery

I'll show you two ways to do it.

1. Follow the directions I gave above and copy the URL in between the {IMG} brackets of the UBBCode

example from Gallery page:

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=2 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=tcat align=middle>Additional Info </TD></TR><TR><TD class=alt1 align=left>Keywords: bestET (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=all&si=bestET) </TD></TR><TR><TD class=alt1 vAlign=top align=left colSpan=2><SCRIPT language=javascript type=text/javascript> <!-- function copy_to_clipboard() { window.clipboardData.setData("Text", "http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/data/500/medium/bestET.jpg"); }; //--> </SCRIPT>UBBCode: <INPUT alt='\\\"\\\"' src="http://www.mercurymarauder.net/gallery/data/500/medium/bestET.jpg" size=80 value="This is where you'll find the tagged URL - just don't include the IMG tags." border=0>

<INPUT style="FONT-SIZE: 7pt" onclick=copy_to_clipboard() type=button value="copy to clipboard">

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

2. Right click on picture in the Gallery and select Properties. Copy the Address (URL)
Both give you the same result.

Might want to keep this thread around as a "sticky".
