This is not another thread about weather or not Ford will bring back the Marauder.

Since my time on this board, I've noticed a trend. In the begining there was alot of R&D into what works. The granddaddys of MM.Net were pioneers. Thanks BTW.

Today we have about 5 different poweradders and countless bolt ons for increasing the performance of our Marauders. Obtaining these "options" is where we are now.

But whats next? There have been a couple of engines built up to handle much more HP, cars built to drag race, road race and street race. Will it take major engine failure to prompt a rebuild? Or just the desire for more HP?

Is this the next trend?

Personally, I think it is. We will probably see more guys building bigger, stronger engines and pushing these Marauders closer to the edge than ever before :D .

After the glass pistons and rods we have are not an issure, I wonder what the next "weak link" will be.

P.S. Thanks to MercuryMarauder.net for making all this possible. Without it, the Marauder would be just another car on the road :2thumbs:

Only have 40k miles on this engine - just broken-in!
At some point will be rebuilt for more hp via increase in displacement and flow but probably N/A - more road race than drag race.
That's just what works for me! And yes, thanks to all on this board for the 411 & esprit de corps!

Charlie, it seems to me, all we have to do is take a look at the Impala SS, and where those guys have gone. Ours, I believe, will be the same story. They have a leg up, because of displacement, but when you see the scores of crate engines out there, especially the 5.4 GT engine, I'd guess the trend will be in that direction.:twocents:
