Well, I just needed to share the wonderful news that our new baby daughter was born. Elizabeth Michele was born at 8:09pm on Thursday, June 16th, 2005. Mom and baby are back home as of today and doing well. Other than having a very long, and painful day on Thursday for my wife, everything else went OK and the baby came out healthy and has 10 fingers and 10 toes. The scary thing is, she looks like me. I hope that does not make life hard for her growing up... :)

I have upload a couple of pictures of the baby and the baby's new room in my gallery. The mural was done by my cousin that does that kind of stuff for a living. It is pretty cool. It is all on the wall that the baby's crib is on. Those pictures were taken within an hour of when the baby was born, so she is not looking the greatest... I should have more soon.

Anyway, just wanted to share some happy news.

Congratulations!!! That's awesome! I remember becoming the father of twins a few years ago, there's no other feeling that's as exciting and as humbling all at the same time!

congrats - being a dad is probably the greatest thing that ever happened to me and I suspect you feel the same. Take lots of pictures; seems like just yesterday my son was born and now he's two.

Thanks for all the well wishing. It is a completely wonderful experience. And I will never again down play what women deal with during the labor process. I can't imagine anything a guy would have to deal with, short of passing a stone, that comes close to what I watched for about 13 hours on Thursday, not to mention the past 9+ months. More power to my wife and all the rest of the mothers out there!!!

Eric,
Happy Father's Day and congratulations to you and your wife. Cherish your wife and child. They are only this age for a VERY short time. Mine are now grown, but I still treasure my time I spend with them.

GordonB :)What he said. My girls aren't grown yet, they just think that they are. Enjoy them, especially when they are still Daddy's 'little' girls.

Happy father's day and congratulations dad.

The fun now begins...and then come the terrible 2's....then the fun begins again....then come the ferocious fours....then the fun once again begins...then....

Well I'm still in the fours and holding on to all sanity.

What trip it has been. Gage (my son) gets a bigger smile out of me than running the fastest 1/4 miler could ever do.

It's like watching re-runs of my childhood, they are so much like us in every way.

Be sure to take lots of video because these are the moments that they won't remember and the video not only brings to light what they were like as infants...but comes in handy down the road when they deny things. :P

Here's a quality 'timeout' picture that will come in handy when he like 14. Hands in the backwards spiderman underwear....priceless!

I now get to expierence that time from birth to about 3. My wife has a daugther from a previous marriage that was about 3 when we starting dating and will be turning 8 next month. So I have been around the 3-8 ages so far. And my wife said that 3 and 4 were worse than the "terrible 2's"... ;)

Thanks for all the thoughts. Mom and baby are still doing well. And the baby has gotten in the habit that everytime I change her dirty diaper, she has to shoot out a little more once the diaper is off. This has happened on all but 1 changing I have done... Gotta lover her!!

Eric, did you say her name was Elizabeth M? Not MM?

Just kidding. . . . that's cool. She's a cute kid, and I'm glad all went well. Congratulations! If you slip up and call her Liz Marauder. . .we'll understand.
